This video features Bob Maurais of Windham, Maine who along with his
wife Barbara are the driving force behind the Mainely Ticks
Educational Web Site. Visit their website, (link below), and you'll
agree that Bob and Barb are doing some fine work for the residents of
Maine.

Doug's Dicovery: Tick Season!
WGME, Channel 13, Portland, Maine
April 30, 2008

This link will take you to the latest episode of Doug's Discovery.

After this week, to view this video you'll have to scroll down the
page and look for the previous entries and find one titled "Tick Season".

"With 14 kinds of ticks in the state you'd think they'd be a problem -
but only one - the deer tick - poses significant risk. Lyme disease -
discovered in 1977 - can impact any Maine resident and it can be a
painful disease. For information on how to protect yourself against
Lyme disease follow the link to the website below."

Thanks again to Bob and Barb Maurais of Windham, Maine.

They are wrong, Lymetoo!

And if you ask me that's a pretty big error!

How many people will not seek treatment because they were bitten by a tick that poses "no risk"?

The vast majority of information being given to the general public also contains misinformation!
