Me, my husband and daughter all have to fly to see our LLMD soon.

We are going to go to a church conference at the same time.

We were wondering if anyone had any ideas for getting free or cheaper flights, and a free or cheap place to stay.

We will all work for it, if need be.

We are good at cleaning, yard work, and other stuff.

Anyone have any ideas?

I posted about an hour ago, under a similar topic.

Just thought I would post again, because I have to book the flights now, or else it gets even more expensive.

Or how does that work?

We have very flexible dates to leave.

Could we just go to the airport and wait for a cheap flight?

Do they give out free flights?

I have only flown 2x in my life, and that was to see my LLMD.

I am not experienced at this.

Do people donate their airmiles? How do we get access to this,,,,,, if this is true?

Sorry to be a pest, but this is costing our family so much money.

My husband is working 60 hour weeks, and I work 2 jobs just to pay the bill from all of us having Lyme disease.

It is so hard to have to go to work everyday.

It is torture.

Go to Priceline dot com or Travelocity ... one of those to get good prices on airline tickets.

http://www.ped onc.org/resources/airlineflights.html

I found this website that has a list of places to go to to find free flights.

I am not sure if they just take cancer patients , or just anyone who is sick and can't afford the flight.

I know that the first few listed are air ambulances, but if you go to the bottom of the page,, you will see some listed that give free flights.

when i got sick and was hospitalized i had a ticket for airtrans. i called and told them i was just out of the hospital and couldn't fly.

they put my ticket on hold and said use it within a year, only charged about 50 bucks so it was worth it.

you may have to have a layover but it's worth checking out.

also don't forget the cheapest way -- greyhound. it's a pain but might work. as a woman i would never do it alone but with your husbande and child it would be ok.
