Stepped out on my porch in Corpus Christi last night around 10 pm, the moon was brown and a slight smell of burning brush in the air. In-laws having a ranch-ett south, south east of Bastrop were visiting for the weekend when the fire in Bastrop broke out. Gave them a lot of worry but so far the fires have missed them. Can't help but worry about these fires being set, so many of them!

We have land near Somerville. It's been in the family for well over 100 yrs .. probably 125 yrs. It's a special place and we have two cabins there. One is not in use due to the age of it.
Would hate to see all the trees burned out as well. There would be nothing left. My nephew takes his children there on the weekends... like we did when I was a kid. No trees, no hunting. Maybe even no 4 wheeling!
