Hi folks,
The post below is from the Lyme Rights committee. Everyone who is physically able to get to the protest today, PLEASE go. Check out www.lymerights.org for info on protest location in Long Branch, NJ.

If it's impossible to go, then please call today. If we all work on this, we can win.

To me, this could be the most important event we've ever had. Please, everyone needs to help.
Ellen

EVERYONE Is NEEDED This Wednesday - National Calling Campaign on Day of Protest!

Congress NEEDS to hear us this Wednesday, May 7th - lets make our message loud & clear!!!

1. Click here to see who you should call http://www.lymerights.org/html/call-in_campaign.html

2. Distribute this to as many people as you can - the phones MUST be ringing off the hooks for this to work!

3. Print out the phone blurbs and numbers. Walk outside with your cell phone and urge your neighbors to call.

4. Protestors - print the pages out and bring them with you. We'll call from our cell phones during the protest.

The Connecticut Attorney General has provided us with an opportunity we MUST take advantage of NOW!

We made over 2,000 phone calls in one day and - We NEED to step it up a notch!

National Strategy for this Wednesday

The entire country will call up all health committee members, Congressman Pallone & Senator Kennedy.

Protest has been great so far but even more people are needed!

Media has been contacted and we already have some radio interviews prepped to go out tomorrow.

Protest will be taped and clips posted on YouTube.

Flyers will be distributed to people walking by and to local stores in area.

Lawn signs will be given to neighbors to keep up until the bill gets scheduled for a hearing.

Pallone constituents will be meeting with Long Branch office staff.

LDA representative will be meeting with key legislators in DC during the protest.

Press materials & photos will be available on website (www.LymeRights.org) after the protest for people to send to their local media.

This is a BLITZ - we ALL NEED to participate!

Thanks for all your help in this historic movement,

Lyme Rights Protest Committee

I called Pallone's office and the lady said she would be sure to give him my message.

I tried Kennedy's office and nobody answered the phone.

Made my calls. John Dingall's office did not want to talk to me, they transferred my call to an answering machine. I did get to talk with a person when calling, Rogers, Upton and Stupak offices.

Stupak's office was the nicest since he is a co-sponsor on the Lyme Bill. I thanked him.
I hope it helps.

And thank you Ellen and all others who have worked so hard for us! [Wink]

Getting an answering machine may be a good sign -that they have heard from so many of us they don't want any more. SO KEEP CALLING. Leave a message when you get the ansering machine. This is terrific work the Lyme community is doing.

I get really mad when I hear that we are "inconveniencing" them by tying up their phone lines. Try having Lyme if you want to know what inconvenience is like!

i called both at 1125 am.

pallone's office got straight thru; they were nice, but i could tell on their voices the strain of MANY PHONE CALLS .... YES!

KENNEDY'S office put me on hold for 2 minutes; 1 guy must have been answering MULTIPLE PHONE LINES. he listened and i hurried it along to 1-1.5 minutes only. i could tell he was relieved; probably had someone else now on hold too!!

way to go LYMETTES!!
