I was interviewed for an article by a reporter for a very big national magazine several months ago.
It was not related to Lyme at all and was very random - she found my blog on the internet through google.
I did a 10 minute phone interview with her and the article is coming out this month so I will be fresh in her mind.
Anyway, I thought I would email her with my side of the Lyme War story - even if she is not interested she must know other reporters of her status.
The thing is I want to send her a concise and to the point email explaining the history of the Lyme Controversy and of course the recent developments "behind the scenes" in the past few weeks (IDSA, A.G. Blumethal's statement, the protest, Pallone's stance etc)
I am way to foggy right now to draft such an email - can someone help me and then I could cut and paste. I want to make sure I have all the facts straight too.
Thanks Abby

Check out the thread "Important News from Pat Smith" - she writes a very good letter to us detailing what is happening with the Lyme bill & Senator Pallone. You might be able to cut & paste from that. If you need more I will try to help out, but I think Pat would do it best.

I'm sure that they are available for media comment, like LDA and everyone else. The copyright for the Overview allows reproduction as long as you attribute it to NatCapLyme and don't change anything.
The Overview describes the situation up until the announcement of the antitrust settlement. Obviously, it needs to be updated. To cover that part of the issue, Blumenthal's own press release, found at http://www.ct.gov/ag/cwp/view.asp?a=2795&q=414284 , would do the trick, as he clearly says that he found conflicts of interest and exclusionary conduct on the part of the IDSA during his investigation.
If you need help with scientific data showing that Lyme is persistent, especially in the words of IDSA members themselves like Steere, Halperin, etc., please PM me. I have that material already written, more or less.
Also, you can find their work, and that of many others at the site www.lymeinfo.net/lymefiles.html You might want to give that link to the reporter.
