Central NJ - UNDER OUR SKIN - free showing at hospital 10/6
Please help get the word out & get people to register.
This is one of my local hospitals and we NEED to make a good showing.
I want them to take our disease seriously and to see just how many lives are affected!!!!!!
If you are in Central NJ, PLEASE tell your family, friends, doctors, clubs/groups, schools, libraries, other hospitals, and anyone else that you can think of.
Location: Conference Center at the NEW Ambulatory Campus
Call: (732) 308-0570 to register (registration requested)
Cost/Fee: FREE
Description: This award winning, new documentary film is a powerful and often terrifying look not only at the science and politics of the disease, but also the personal stories of those whose lives have been affected and nearly destroyed.
A special screening will be presented and hosted by CentraState's Health Awareness Center.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give to get the word out!

This is what I sent out, if anyone wants to use it, they're welcome to :
Please help spread the word. Lyme Disease is not always hard to catch, easy to diagnose and easily cured, as some people may believe.
CentraState Medical Center is hosting a free, special-screening of the award winning, new documentary film "Under Our Skin - The Untold Story of Lyme Disease". This is an important opportunity and shouldn't be missed.
If you are in Central NJ, PLEASE tell your family, friends, doctors, clubs/groups, schools, libraries, other hospitals, and anyone else who may be able to attend.
Please do not assume that you would recognize someone who suffers from this disease, many are able to hide their suffering for many, many years before their suffering and disability become apparent.
Please make a difference in someone's life today and pass this information on.

YAY!!!!!
I composed a listing of all of my positive & indeterminate labs, through the course of my treatment, in case any doctors want to know how unreliable the testing is.
I even have a "Negative" from Igenex (IND only) during the same time frame as a CDC "Postive" from Quest.
(Tell me again how "Everybody tests positive with Igenex"! )
Of course later on I have a FLAMINGLY positive Igenex shortly after a "negative" Quest.
I should send this to Pallone as well & tell him to "bite my behind". ( JERK!!!! )

Thanks to all who attended & those who spread the word!
We filled all the seats & they had to bring in extra chairs!!!
Thanks to mtree & hubby for making it happen!!!
I believe that you did a very good thing for our community by getting the doctor to watch that film.
In reflecting, I realized what I think she took away from it. I believe that she will no longer rely on the bulls-eye rash or test results to diagnose patients.
I also noted that she picked up on stabilization or resolution of symptoms, as being necessary before even getting to the point of "re-treatment" and then considering "chronic lyme".
If she tries to treat patients to resolution of symptoms, she will surely realize that "28 days" is not as effective as IDSA would have her believe.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I believe you will be able to take credit for "educating a duck"! I hope it's contagious!
I also hope it will generate some talk in the hospital.
mtree & hubby, I applaud you!
