Just trying to raise awareness of Lyme in UK by leaving comments on this article,it is desperately needed. Please help by adding your own Lyme comments, as many lyme patients have been misdiagnosed with CFS in the first instance.
There has been a tragic case in the UK papers recently of a mother who helped her chronically ill daughter (diagnosed with CFS) commit suicide. The case was taken to court and fortunately the jury saw sense and the mother has not received a jail sentence.

You should go check out Elana Cook's thread in General Support about Lyme as a biowarfare agent, including reporting that people in the UK aren't being told.

If I remember correctly,Borrelia have been identified in ticks in the Natural History Museum in London from the 1800's.Also there are many early reports from europe of borreliosis. So I suspect Lyme disease has been around a very long time.

Catherine, there has been some screenings of "Under Our Skin" in the UK I think. I tried to leave a comment about the film and it's website address in the article comment section without success. Would you be able to put a comment in about the film? It would be an eye opener for those with ME(chronic fatique syndrome) Perhaps a screening could be held in the area you live.

Ticksick - what Elena is saying is that the borrelia have been tinkered with, that this may not be a natural phenomenon we're dealing with.
