SLAM would like to thank all who attended our very successful MAYDAY LYME FAIR in Sturbridge MA. The day included plenty of sunshine, great music, crafts, family fun and a presentation by Senator Brewer's Aide. SLAM received citations from the Senate and House of Representatives! The Lyme Riders attended were very generous giving away free Tshirts to the crowd. The roar of their bikes added a great vibe to our day and their work is appreciated. The town of Sturbridge sponsored the day and offered support to future awareness events. SLAM thanks all who helped make this day possible including MAINELY TICKS, DAMMINIX TICK TUBES and Insect Shield.
Together we can make a difference!

Sounds good! And didn't you post earlier about having a billboard somewhere too? And who sponsored it?

Still said.. "From what I've heard, Slama is much more open minded than the last IDiot."
Boy oh boy! I would LOVE to believe that, but I've watched IDiot after Idiot head that Society, while we kept waiting for ONE of them to actually do something decent ... and in my opinion, it hasn't happened.
In fact, it seems they get more rotten each time a new one takes over... if that is even possible.
Keep in mind the IDSA President that disagrees with its IDiot members or guideline authors about Lyme disease and does something positive about it to help patients is the one who opens the door to a problem so big, no one could even imagine.
My guess is the lawsuits alone, just in the first year, would wipe out the IDSA as we know it.
Not that that is a bad thought in MY mind (no more IDSA)... as I've not only lost respect for the leaders there, but all who sit by and do nothing to do "right" ... but I doubt they will voluntarily do the right thing.
My thought is our situation won't get better till the organization is dissolved after a sting from above that is so bad they have to run and hide under their beds for the rest of their miserable lives, along with the ALDF.
From what I've seen (my opinion of course), the IDSA tends to groom their President-elects to fit their idea of medicine and money.
Now, if I were IDSA President.. yes, that is funny...
I would cut my losses before more suffer and die, turn over the bad apples to authorities in a plea deal, and wipe my hands clean of the bad boys before the big shoe drops and takes them all down.
I would like to think some of their members could be decent people, have some morals, and might even have become doctors to help others.
Someone.... please pinch me and wake me from this dream.
