As you may know we have been working hard to get a federal bill passed through Congress that will provide for a task force on Lyme disease and will provide much needed research funding.

I've managed to get all eight of Maryland's Congressional House members to sign on as co-sponsors to the House version (HB-741) without having to ask you all for help, however, I am running short on time, energy and patience trying to get our two Maryland Senators to sign on as co-sponsors to the "sister" Senate version of the Lyme disease bill (S-1708).

It is time to call in the troops... and that is YOU and everyone you know in Maryland!

Please take a few minutes to contact (call, email and fax) BOTH Maryland Senators (Mikulski and Cardin) and let them know we NEED this bill and request that they not only support it, but sign on as co-sponsors. We want to be polite and professional with our contacts please.

It is VERY simple to do. The information is below. Please forward this to all Maryland residents you know including friends, family, church groups, organizations, camps, parks, businesses, garden clubs, etc.... even if they aren't Lyme related. Feel free to post this request on other internet boards you frequent online.

I thank you for taking this important step to help Lyme patients and residents across the state... and me! I can't do this alone and with your help we can make a difference.

Please call, fax and email both Senators. Tell them-

``Please sign on as a co-sponsor to the Lyme Disease bill (S-1708).''

Provide your name, address and phone number. Then thank them. That's it!

I'll keep you updated on any progress we make. I'd LOVE to have 100 percent of Maryland Congress co-sponsoring the Lyme disease bills. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
