While I am working away trying to put on paper what we learned this past weekend at the Lyme Conference, I thought I should post this right away.

Heart: Lyme carditis is difficult to diagnose with current methods (PET scan positive early on). It has multiple symptoms from arrhythmia to angina. Dr. K. stressed repeatedly that this be taken very seriously with the first symptoms.

A young patient 20-some years old died recently very suddenly. Heart attack - gone. So do take it seriously with the first signs.

I myself had severe heart arrhytmia that was totally eliminated with treatment - not only with antibiotics!!!! But I had excellent care by alert physicians. Heavy metals are always involved - heavily.

Take care.

Take care.

Gigi,

can you tell us more about Lyme carditis? I have had some chest pains (although my llmd was confident it was rib soreness or nerve pain).

also, i am not sure how are the metals involved in the lyme carditis? do they also affect people who don't have lyme? or is it the interaction between the metals and lyme that counts? please let us know - i am sure there are many people interested in this . thank you!

Mercury and other toxic metals tend to settle in the endothelium of the heart just as anywhere else, including the brain. There is plenty of
research - I will post it if I find the abstract that I have in mind.

I have posted a list giving the Symptoms of Chronic Mercury Toxicity including the cardiovascular effects. Do a search for it here. You will find a lot of info.

Get a good doctor that knows Lyme and understands the toxicity issues from heavy metals, chemicals, plastics, etc. I have just about given up talking to any school medicine doctor - they have no clue and also probably don't want to know because it is not easy to deal with in a patient.
Yet half the world is mercury toxic. My doctor would say practically all the world is mercury toxic.

I hope you find the answers to your problem through a good physician.

Take care.

please look for the "22,000 times mercury concentration" than in control subjects.
