Don't know who does this, but here are a few studies:
1) spirochetes observed in vitreous fluid
Cytologically proven seronegative Lyme choroiditis and vitritis. *Schubert HD, Greenebaum E, Neu HC. Retina. 1994;14(1):39-42. *(Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute, New York, New York.)
RESULTS: Intravitreal spirochetes consistent with Borrelia burgdorferi were found in this seronegative patient.
Ocular Lyme Borreliosis Diagnosed by Polymerase Chain Reaction on Vitreous Fluid. Eileen Hilton, MD; Candace Smith, PharmD; and Sunil Sood, MD Annals of Internal Medicine Sep 1996, 125(5):424-425.
"Because of visual deterioration during the next 6 months, vitrectomy was done on the patient's right eye. Culture of vitreous fluid was negative, but B. burgdorferi DNA was detected by PCR."

I know that for the past 4 weeks I have had itchy eye lids, swollen lids, pin pricks in my eyes and a sty. The salt and Vita-C protocol is driv'n them right out of my eyes, wel at least from around my eyes.
The eyes are a very common place for them to end up.

I have been drinking Ultra mangosteen juice for a couple months. It's one brand of mangosteen juice. There are lots of brands, which can be found at healthfood stores, online and one a strong multilevel-marketed juice.
It's a strong anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant. It took down eye symptoms for me immediately. It's a detoxer so we also need to drink a lot of water with it. Well people drink up to 5 or 6 ounces a day. I have drunk up to half a bottle a day(16 ounces).
Currently, drinking the mangosteen juice is the only thing that's saving my eyes.

All that connects is a optic nerve, the bb hides there then sometimes returns in some lyme patients when they think there well and get off abx.

I have wavy vision (for the past 5 years). About a week ago I developed a flashing light in my right eye that hasn't gone away. I got checked to make sure it's not a detached retina- it's not. It seems to be just another thing to add to the list! argh. ~catwoman

The visual stuff is terrible. But then again, every symptom is terrible.
I have always said, that I can handle the knee pain... but leave the neuro stuff out please. When you can't see... it's a bit scary.

It does affect the eyes in so many ways. I am improving with treatment.
I am laying here trying to recall all the ways my eyes have been affected.
My mind does not want to go there right now.

Does anyone know of LLMD that may be able to determine what role lyme may or may not have in serious retina problems?

How much Salt/C did you take when you noticed that happening? How long have you been at that level?
I'm at 3 doses per day 1/4tsp. real salt with Vit. C.
Kayda
I started out at 4gms of REAL SALT and C per day. An eye stye showed up after 8 weeks. I started at that level because I felt that my body had already clean-out some of the bugs.
Now I am useing hot and cold compresses, wash clothes in big baggie, refirged and one nuked, I alternate hot and cold for 3 minutes each. This really help to get the blood flowing in the eye area.
The lyme likes the eyes because of the low blood flow. It is one of the hardest places to clean out.
