I believe my recent really bad herxheimer reaction had alot to do with me not having enough detox regimens in place.
I already know I have the HLA-DR4 genotype, which doesn't allow me to detox very well, so I take Cholestyramine.
I've searched and read so many posts here about so many things you can do to detox, yet I have a hard time discerning what the very best supplements and procedures are.
Before I resume taking my antibiotic, in an effort to avoid having another really bad herxheimer reaction, I'd like to try to institute as many of your best suggestions, as I possibly can.
If you can, please include the amount, duration, frequency, etc... also, so I know not only what they are, but how I should go about doing them too.
Please note if it's helpful for the genotype I have also, since it would be good for me to know too.
The cheapest and easiest things are good, but I'm also willing to consider those that aren't, especially if they're more helpful.
If you will, please point me in the right direction, so I don't waste alot of time and resources, just trying things I'm not real sure about.

Vitamin D3,slowly work your way up to a daily dose of 2000 IU, but have levels monitored bianuually to be sure you aren't overloading.
N-Acetyl-Cysteine, 600 mg once daily with a meal. It is a precursor to glutathione, perhaps the best detox agent your liver can produce.
Fiber. Builds a bulkier stool (not a pleasant topic, I know, but that's the nature of the beast) which carries away more toxin with each BM.
Chlorella, especially if you have amalgams. If you do have silver in your mouth, don't drink hot drinks like coffee or tea, it causes more toxic metal to outgas from the filling.
Your liver sees everything that passes through it as a toxin basically, and modifies things as best it can to help the body eliminate them.
In this way cholecalciferol, D3,(D2 for that matter, less useful therefore more toxic) can be considered a toxin; the liver hydroxylates it, making it slightly more water soluble, and the kidney will do the rest, adding one more hydroxyl group that makes it H2O soluble enough to be removed by the urine, but one of the modified molecules is a potent seco-steroid hormone, and can have dramatic effects on the metabolism.
What the liver cannot make water soluble, it will try to make fat or bile soluble.
The former will be stored until it can be gotten rid of, the latterwill go into the stool, but will be partly reabsorbed in the colon and go through the cycle again, that is why we must be careful to avoid new toxins.
Think of vitamin D as the original toxin, it is the one our body is best adapted to remove. If you have a reaction to taking it, there is a big problem.

Sorry but is that saying we should take Vitamin D or shouldn't? (Last part makes it sound like shouldn't).
Normally I would look it up or something, but have been too tired to do that stuff lately.
I try to sit in sun everyday so my body can produce vitamin D. (so is that good or bad?)

As I said it is the toxin we are best adapted to...This is just theory, mind you, but I think that when vitamin D rises (as it should when we spend time in the sun) the liver gets to work on detoxing it, and that induces enzymes and functions in the liver that help to detox other things, and we tend to feel better.
Some feel worse when they go into the sun, though, and they should be careful about any vitamin D that could get into their system.
If they weren't always this way, ie: sunshine once made them feel better, liver and kidney function should be tested to determine if any treatable abnormality is present.

Cholestyramine can also take out some essential nutrients.
I assume your LLMD has given you a time table for using it to prevent this.
