Today I am kicking off the LymeNet 2005 FundDrive which will run for six (6) weeks, ending on September 30, 2005. The link to our appeal for funds is here: http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum3/HTML/013417.html
LymeNet can only continue on its mission with your financial help. We only have enough funds to keep LymeNet up and running until October 1, 2005. In the past we have embarked on our annual FundDrive during the months of October to December. We cannot wait. It begins today.
Your donations will be used to keep LymeNet up and running for another year and we will improve the services that LymeNet provides with a new and more powerful server, a faster and broader Internet link and upgraded software. We will also make the LymeNet Flash a better, safer place for you to share information and help others. Details of the LymeNet Budget, Technology Plans and General Plans can be found at the following link: http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum3/HTML/013392.html
We will post our goals and progress on the LymeNet Flash in this Topic. Thank you for your generosity and continued support of LymeNet. Donations can be made via PayPal by clicking on the ``MAKE A DONATION'' button, on the upper left. Checks made payable to The Lyme Disease Network, can be mailed to: The Lyme Disease Network 43 Winton Road East Brunswick, NJ 08816 USA

Ann-OH, Thanks ... I'll tell Bill to keep an eye out for the mailman.
Trout, Good idea ... why didn't I think of that?
Please do us a favor and send the LymeNet FundDrive request to your family and friends asking them to also donate to this wonderful organization. Angela e-mailed the LymeNet FundDrive letter to her alumni friends as an appeal that they also donate. You can do the same and reach out to people who may be willing and able to help LymeNet. Take our letter and edit, change it into your words telling your story and how LymeNet has helped you ... it's easy to do.
I'm now going after my family, friends, IBM buddies, alumni group and church members. Next in line is my doctor, dentist, lawyer, real estate agent, auto service guy, lawn guy ... doesn't hurt to ask.

Here is an idea too. I also sent the a note (in email) to my family and friends explaining about Amazon donating money to Lymenet if they go to Lymenet then the Amazon link.
I have already received 4 emails saying they will diffently use the link to shop Amazon.

Don't be confused. Lou and Angela live under the same roof, but talk to each other via e-mail from two different computers, under the same roof.
I'm not confused, am I?
Thanks to all who have given, so far.

I received a thank you email too... Thanks Lou! Don't bother to send me a letter, spare the stamp, anyway I can't benefit from any deduction. I keep your email as a track.
I want to say here to all the Lymenet Lymies who are not American that you can contribute very easily using Paypal. You just need an email address and your VISA or mastercard number. It is safe and won't cost you anything else than a little time. And you can pay in dollars, it will be charged on your card in whatever currency you want, without any fee.
Magical!

Hi! Been off herxing. Almost missed this. Will send in check right away. We don't want to lose this valuable networking tool. Thanks for what you are doing, Lou B. ! Sometimes we all need to be reminded how important it is to give back. We are all so wrapped up in our own pain and financial worries. But where would we be with out LymeNet, LDA, and our local support & resource groups? Even if we can't give much, we all need to give what we can. Well, off to do some more herxing. Isn't Lyme fun? I'm so glad there is no Lyme in Florida! (That's what my doctor told me nearly twenty years ago when my Lyme disease symptoms started stealing away my life.) Sorry, I digress... Lyme Brain.
