Recap of week 45 (52 weeks in a yr. We are getting close)

Akinwolf

Monday-Me and Rocky 3 miles and outdoor bathing for Rocky!

Thursday-Me and Rocky 3 miles.

Friday-Me and Rocky 3 miles and Rocky had creek time.

Andie: Holding the place for you and hoping Fall will be better. Andie is working full time.

Cathy: It will be a grand day indeed when you are back joining us. Be patient with yourself.

Don: Haven't heard from Don this week. I guess no news is good news.

KAM

Mon pm: 15 walk (as if I were normal)
Tues pm: 15 min
Thurs pm: I had a good strong walk to the Phoenix tree and back.
Sat am: 10 to 15 min walk in forest.

Sat pm: 1 hr out of the house at dusk. Did the loop in the forest and then went to the decking and brought my chair and read just a bit...not even a paragraph.

Mostly just waited until my heart stopped pounding from getting the decking in the forest.

Then went Elk Hunting. I heard they can be seen at dawn and dusk at the Golf Course. Didn't see any.

And finally able to do two loads of laundry (I can't get to my dresser because of the backup in the laundry dept)

And able to get some dishes in dishwasher and turn it on.

LymeToo

Sept 5 I walked 1.25 miles with my buddy "Holter Monitor." Thankfully, he was pretty quiet!

Summary of week 20

Ali

Sent email to Ali. Waiting to hear how she is doing. Ali is going through a divorce and trying to find help for those tasks that MS/Lyme and company keep her from doing on her own.

Hiker:

August 31 walked 30 minutes and worked in my wildflower bed clipping dead buds.

Monday 9/1 30 minute evening walk

September 6: Mowed the lawn--takes over an hour. Not much walking this week except around the classroom.

Larkspur:

Sept 5 2 miles for me today!

Kam and all,

Thanks for the patience here. It's terrible when your MIND says you want to start walking again but your body is saying "no way".

I even thought I was starting to come around with this IV treatment, only to be told we are getting even more aggressive.

That starts next Tuesday, so still may need a little more time before getting my feet under my body properly, but as always, I'm here cheering ALL of you on and DO plan to rejoin you soon.

Cathy

Wed 9/10 Pure exhaustion. Mowed the lawn (an hour of very quick walking) after a day of teaching. Supposed to rain the next 4 days here.

Sending my blessing to those in south Texas--may you be safe from Ike. Hiker53

Hiker, Looks like you got the lawn mowed just in time.

Wed pm: 15 mim loop in forest.

My loop days will be over in about 3 months. Hopefully by then, I can be on my feet longer and not need the loop.

I met the new owner of the land that we all walk through or ride ATV's or horses or motorcycles or have a party on the weekend.

He hired someone to camp out where the weekend parties are. I met him too.

Rosie was on alert. She kept barking at something or someone on down the trail. it turned out to be him.

I forgot to tell him that Rosie thinks the land is hers. But, she showed that in her barking.

Don't know if I mentioned it but he said he will be building this winter.

He is building on a site that people have used for years to hike, bike, ...I have seen the high school football and track team running on this trail.

I have seen ATV's riders tear down, barbed wire, signs, etc that say no ATV's on the trail.

His property backs up to the national forest.

I know... I'm pathetic!

I have a mild asthmatic condition.... It's been lingering since I got bronchitis 3-4 weeks ago.

Hope to get some walking in next week if it ever stops raining. We're to get more of the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.

Cheers, everyone!! [hi]

I've had two good days.

Got to actually take out trash today and vacuum. Now I'm going to do some light arm weight lifting.

Hey everyone!!!

Friday the 13th me and Rocky did our usual 3 miles. No creek time for the bad, bad doggie.

Monday-Me and Rocky 2 1/2 miles. Couldn't go our usual 3 because I'm too wore out from wacking weeds for about 1 1/2 on Sunday.

Kam-I must have posted on the wrong week or something.....Last week I walked on only Monday and Friday.

I can't remember how much on Monday but probably 3 miles.

At least I hope I posted it on last weeks....who knows what I've done!
