Does anyone have these feelings like you are a car stuck on high idle?

Sometimes it can be felt in your chest and head. They can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days.It is an awful feeling.

yes, yes yes!

It gets worse for me whenever there is more die off happening, and seems to ease up after I've cleared off the toxin load.

It's also worse when I work really hard at not being sick, and overdo.

Hope you are feeling better soon!

Achey, I'm not quite sure what you mean by die off and toxin load as I'm wating for test results. I guess you mean the organisms that cause LD?

Have been very sick since Aug. 2004 and was sent on my way after negative ELISA test. Did find a neuro doc to do more testing.

After reading more about LD, can't understand why more testing wasn't done with my many, many symptoms.

I have not been given any abx yet. Just meds for my cardiac symptoms which covered up some of my suspected LD symptoms for about a month.

The first time I had that experience I had just gone to bed and I thought the bed was shaking from the earthquake we were having.

I couldn't figure out why nobody was talking about the strong earthquake we had had the night before!

It happened again the next time I went to bed and (DUH)I had to realize we probably weren't having earthquakes every time I went to bed.

It is a horrible feeling and I thought maybe they were severe heart palpitations until I read the posts on this board about vibrations.

Haven't gone on antibiotics yet so don't know about the die off theory, either. But everyone is different, so who knows.

I do agree with Achey about overdoing it -- I think I had more of the vibrations when I was overly tired.

Anyway, "a car stuck on high idle" is a perfect description.

I hardly have the vibrations any more so hopefully yours won't last forever, either.

Yeah, I've been stuck in high idle all week. I feel the vibrations mostly in my hands, feet, shins and ankles. Sometimes it is in my face and tongue too.

When I'm driving It feels like the sensations are from steering wheel vibrations but of course the vibrations continue (in my body) when I get out of the car. The vibrations are worst at night before I go to bed.

Things that seem to help are Epsom Salt baths (1 or 2 cups of Salt per tub) and podi patches.

The worst vibrations were 3 weeks after I switched to a higher dose of antibiotics. It felt like my blood was vibrating. It was especially bad in my arms and hands. After a week with many severe episodes the vibrations diminished and I started to get much better.

I think of the vibrations as die off related. Eating fatty food helps and getting hungry makes it much worse.

The posts from people who aren't on antibiotics makes me wonder about the die -off theory. Maybe it is just Lyme having a party or taking a trip around my body. It does seem to follow a 4 week cycle.

The only time I vibrations was when I was on flagly and it lasted about 2 mos after I ended flagyl. It was odd, but of all places, the tip and inside of my nose felt like an outboard motor. Who knows?

Bill, thanks for the thread.

The vibrations have kept me from going to sleep and do wake wake me up besides being nerve wracking.

They sometimes acompany shortness of breath and a strange metallic taste in my mouth.

Can anyone actually see it in their body movement? You can see the hair on my head steadily buzz.

I too hesitated to mention this to the doc but thought at this point, why not.
