I seem to be having what feels like bone pain in my shins today mostly the left. It is not muscles for sure. It could be nerve pain but I am not sure. I have shooting pains in my arms today and up my neck all worse on the left side.
I think I heard Bartonella can cause bone pain. This is a new symptom for me (shin pain).
I also noticed bruises or broken blood vessels on my legs and feet.
Any advice or thoughts?

Bone/shin pain for me was a bart symptom. It went away with two 9 week courses of levaquin.
My son is on rifampin/doxy/zith for bart; his brother is doing Cowden to try to get his remaining symptoms which I feel are bart.
Three different approaches/protocols.

What is your Vitamin D level? I had bad bone pain (primarily in my arms) and it responded dramatically to Vitamin D. My D levels were beyond low.

I have terrible bone pain in my shins and have tested positive for bart but negative for lyme (minus a clinical diagnosis). I just started taking levequin to treat the bart. I aslo have bone pain and subcutaneous nodules under my skin that are tender. Burning sensations also.

I have been having the exact same symptom, day and night, for the past month. It started after adding 2 new abx to the one I was already taking. Saw my dr. after the pain, lack of sleep and irritability became too much. He stopped all my abx completely and said we were killing too many bacteriea too quickly. Started me on Salt/C and Wobenzym enzymes. The shin pain was reduced dramatically, almost overnight. But I have had a headache every day since the med adjustment. Don't know if the headache is because of the new treatment or if it sinus that is weather/ allergy related and would have happened anyway.

Mine has seemed to subsided for now. every day is something different. Last night I had pain and pressure feeling in/under my finger nails!
Now that is weird.
I wouldn't be surprised at anything anymore.

Merry, don't let Tutu accuse you of being crazy because of the pain in your fingernails. Just joking, we had fun a few days ago due to something she posted on fingernail herxes.
I can relate with fingernail herxes, because I lived it. I can remember also pain moving here and there. Never knew where it would end up next. Finally you just realize, I'm not crazy, it's typical lyme disease.
Long bone, shin pain is called sx of bartonella. Thank goodness mine just comes in cycles and last for 4-6 days and then it's something else. Gigi has always said these guys are territorial and seem to only raise cane one at a time. Seems true with me.
I've just learned to not share with anyone some of this unless they are a lymie.
