Children really do seem to have all the fun, don't they? Children see the wide open spaces of life as their playground, while adults tend to foster a more tarnished viewpoint where they see their lives being played out in a much smaller picture.
A child sees opportunities to explore and have fun, while an adult's prior conditioning only allows him or her to see obstacles and dead end streets. Children get to play a lot of games and have a good time, leaving all of the worries associated with the trials and tribulations of life to their parents. It doesn't seem fair, does it?
Why do the kids get to have all the fun? There is one very good reason. These young children have not yet been burdened with a lifetime of negative conditioning. Life to them is a big bowl of cherries and they get to eat every one! It sometimes seems that the only down side of being a kid is you eventually have to grow up.
While we all have to accept the inevitable reality that we do indeed have to grow up eventually, should growing up require that we relinquish some of those priceless child-like qualities of our youth? Not at all! Why should we ever allow ourselves to lose that limitless imagination we enjoyed as children? We shouldn't. Wouldn't we all dearly love to regain some of that child-like enthusiasm as adults, where we could once again live out our fondest dreams? You bet we would!
Well here's some good news. There is still one game most of us played when we were young that we can still play as adults. This game is called follow the leader. That's right, even among adults the game of follow the leader is still alive and well. If you recall the original rules of the game, one child would be designated theleader of the group and everyone else would then follow the leader's instructions or commands. This game was fun and every one could participate.
Even as adults, when a leader takes the lead, others willingly fall in line to follow that leader. Not quite convinced this is true? Fair enough, but have you ever known someone who seemed to be a natural born leader? I bet you have; in fact, most of us have. Did you notice how everyone seemed to be attracted to that person? As a matter of fact, didn't that individual seem to have an almost mesmerizing effect on others?
Without question, success always seems to come easier to people who exhibit strong leadership characteristics. Since there is never a shortage of people who are willing to pitch in and help, leaders regularly accomplish one amazing feat after another with an almost effortless flair. OK, so what's this have to do with you? Absolutely everything, since YOU ARE A NATURAL BORN LEADER!
More than ever before, the world desperately needs leaders and it is your destiny to fill this void. Hey, you don't become a leader by pushing, prodding and pounding others into the ground. Far from it. Pushing people around is not leadership. Leaders are those rare individuals who can rally the troops, motivating and encouraging each team member as they collectively work towards the fulfillment of a common, worthwhile goal.
You can assume your leadership role by setting a good example for your family, friends and coworkers and by bringing value to everyone you are privileged to meet every day. You can take the lead by taking charge of yourself and your immense abilities.
Winners are born to be leaders, not followers. Just because you have grown up doesn't mean you cannot once again enjoy all of the fun and merriment you experienced in your youth. It is time to have some fun once again and become the leader you were always born to be.
Go ahead, step right up and take your place at the front of the line!

Have you ever known someone, perhaps a loved one or maybe even yourself, who has experienced and survived a life threatening situation? (Of course!) It is especially enlightening to marvel at how these people who have been granted a second chance now embrace life with every ounce of their energy and relish every moment as if it were their last. Through their brush with adversity, these people have come to realize that life is so very special and now no longer take it for granted as they once did.
There is a lesson to be learned here for each of us. Hopefully it will not require a life threatening experience for you or me to understand what a truly precious gift life is and why we need to make the most out of every moment we are granted on earth. Each of us are afforded a unique opportunity to live a life filled with purpose and passion, where we can achieve our goals, accomplish our objectives and fulfill our destinies every day of our lives. God has blessed us with an irrepressible born to win spirit and it is our duty to responsibly use this winning spirit or risk losing it forever.
Each of us bear the awesome responsibility of positively influencing all with whom we come in contact with and leaving an indelible mark in history. There is a powerful force inside each of us that needs to feel the exhilaration of accomplishment and the thrill of achievement on a daily basis. Without exception, every person on earth was put here for a reason.
Each and every one of us possess a number of distinctive gifts and special talents. It is our obligation to determine how we can take the gifts we have been given and put these awesome talents to work, thereby providing us an opportunity to accomplish anything and everything we have ever dreamed of having, being and achieving.
Without a doubt, we have more than enough talent and ability to take us anywhere we have ever dreamed of going. But it's up to us to tap into this reservoir of wondrous potential.
Yes, you do indeed hold, deep down in our heart and soul, the key that will unlock all of life's buried treasures. And the sooner you go ahead and unleash the prodigious power of these natural gifts, the better. It's up to you - it's your choice. So why wait or hesitate? Why not choose to make something truly special happen in your life today?
After all, life is way too special to even waste one precious moment, wouldn't you agree?
