Okay after taking I'v vanco , iv Invanz, and tindemax for 6 weeks and going off 10 days ago I have tested positive for c diff. Probably a stomach virus caused my dr concern enough tto be tested. Now I am being told more abx for the c diff. I was fighting off the fungus from before.. Geez

When I got C diff from a course of erythromycin for an ear infection once, I was put on IV treatment at a top hospital and stayed there overnight. They probably gave me some kind of antibiotic, I don't know what. That overnight IV treatment stopped the C diff and it never came back.

They use flagyl or vancomycin in most cases.

When all else fail, some have gotten fecal transplants.

Sounds gross but it works.

I fought c diff for years. Finally stabilized oxygen drops called cell food killed it. C diff is a strict anaerobes and dies in the presence of oxygen. Cell food caused diarrhea at first as it cleanses the colon, but it worked after vanco, flagyl and tindimax failed. 8-12 drops twice daily but could even go higher if needed. I still take cell food when I'm on antibiotics and the c diff can't return
