I once talked to a representative from a well-known mild hyperbaric oxygen chamber maker. He told me sitting in their chamber is the same as diving in 12-ft of water. He also told me diving has the same health effect as using mild hyperbaric oxygen chamber.
Since I don't have a chamber and I do have a swimming pool, I'm wondering whether I can just use snorkel to dive. I can extend the length of the snorkel tube and sit in the deep end of pool, which is about 10 ft.
Has anybody tried it? Or, what do you think of my idea?
I recently have a brain concussion. I didn't lose conscious but I was dizzy for an hour. The net mentions HBO is good for traumatic brain injury, which is another reason why I'm interested in HBO.

If I had a brain injury, I wouldn't want to be in the deep well of a pool. You can try it, but make sure the lifeguard is attentive.
There is lots of research on brain injuries. I would suspect some good, some bad.

The analogy of "diving" in a mild hyperbaric chamber at 1.3 ATA and diving in 11 feet of water is just for explanatory purposes. It describes the amount of pressure you are receiving.
This is not the same as breathing additional O2 while under pressure, which is what you do via oxygen concentrator while using the chamber.
More importantly, using a snorkel that is 12 feet long is a bad idea, because you could not exchange air completely from the tube by breath alone, and would end up breathing some of your own carbon dioxide.
In addition, it would be impossible to suck in air through a tube after descending only about 2 feet underwater, due to the pressure (physics!).
There are more affordable ways to either rent or own a home chamber than you may know or have considered. Please PM me if you are interested, as I became well with mHBOT and have done over 1200 dives to date.
Other people are having very positive results as well...you can read more on this thread:
