I thought this was rather interesting.

Brilliant Blue G, the food dye that gives blue M&Ms their color may help mend spinal injuries.

It does appear that way doesn't it? First Methylene Blue and now Brilliant Blue G.

But the blue dyes aren't the only dyes that have medicinal properties. The purple dye Gentian Violet has some useful medicinal properties as well.

Gentian Violet's antifungal properties.

In the study directly above Gentian Violet killed a fungus that Itraconazole couldn't kill. And Itraconazole is one of the most powerful antifungal drugs available.

Gentian Violet is also an effective treatment for other infectious diseases such as Impetigo and MRSA.

Here I thought only the "green" m & m's had special powers. [Big Grin]

Interesting stuff.

Oh, you can actually buy bags of blue m&m's.

People say that the blue ones taste different from other colors.
