The one I recommend is outside of Washington, D.C. Let me know if you want his name.
YOu would only have to travel there once every 3 months. He will do telephone appointments the other months.
From what others in eastern Pa. have told me over the last 13 years, we have better doctors in my area. So, after they try the eastern Pa. docs, many folks from your area come to the Baltimore/D.C. area.
People from Ontario, upstate NY, Ohio, Florida, New Mexico, Texas, etc. come to see this doctor. He is very good. I know he would help you.
And, there is nobody good in New York City or in the state of New Jersey. This is what I have learned from corresponding with about 7,000 lyme patients over the last 13 years.
There is no wait to get in with the doc I recommend. He uses high-dose combinations of antibiotics. You will NOT be on just one at a time. So, he is following the Burrascano protocol when it comes to antibiotics.
If you have not read the Burrascano LYme Treatment Guidelines, I strongly recommend that you read and study them. There is no substitute for an educated patient when it comes to this disease.
By studying this document, you will understand more of what the lyme specialist is talking about, and you will be able to evaluate the treatment you are being given. If you don't study, you could pick a lousy lyme doctor and not know it for years and year.
I wasted 2 years with a lousy doc. Don't want that to happen to you.
Lyme is very difficult to cure, so you can't go to just anybody. I know a few of the docs who know enough to do it for you. They are few and far between. So, to get the very best chance of getting rid of this horrendous disease, go to someone who is curing people.
You can also contact the lyme support groups in your area. See Support Groups on the left side of the page. Find out from them who in your area is getting people well.
The docs with the most expertise are the ones who see strictly lyme patients or at least half of their practice is lyme patients. They learn much more quickly what works and doesn't work when they treat so many people with lyme.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for PA, MD & CT.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and his new one, "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.
Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
