Trying to find out if people here are actually interested in educating themselves or just doing "what everybody else does."
Then will delete these threads + peel out of here. I guess saying you are doing something is more important than actually doing something.

massman - It's a good idea not to lump everyone together, especially on a forum with as many members as this one. I believe there are quite a few who read but don't post.
There are people on many different levels and paths of the journey towards learning about health issues. Not everyone will believe in everything that you believe in. You may plant a seed that will come to fruition at some other time.
Personally, I put info out there and let people decide for themselves. I try not to judge and try to remember that I may have been where they are now at some time in the past. I try not to be insulted if they don't accept the information, I just hope that they can get something out of it that can help them along the way.
It's hard sometimes, especially when you really care but it is a good way to stay sane while at the same time helping others with your knowledge.
Just my 2 cents.

massman-i read the entire article. i posted responses to you. i have been mulling over "whole food vitamins" in my head for the last few days. here is why i havent acted.
-i try not to be on boards too much. information overload. im thinking its not good for me. -im early in my treatment and very scared about not doing the right thing treatment wise and as a result this is taking up more of my time mentally. -im tired of buying different supplements for different things that help in different ways only to find out its all crap. -i will probably go buy some whole food vitamins and see if i notice improvement. -as a result of your article i have stopped taking my supplements. not sure if this is correct or not. NOT SURE ABOUT ANYTHING!

Terry K and JYW are right on! You're not by any means the first one on this forum to furnish this type of info, some have been saying it for years; at least the part about supp overload and the trash contained therein.
If you want to leave this board, then go. ("Departure is a simple act. You place one foot in front of another.") Otherwise, stop the 'Terrible Ambrose' temper-tantrums and be willing to discuss matters in a decent tone. There are far more learned people than you here who manage it, so you can too. People will always disagree and have a right to do so.

Nobody pee'd in my St. Patty's Day Wheaties that I know of. Considering some reports that humans consume all sorts of not-so-delicious substances in our daily nutritional intake we don't know about (or recognize I'll bet), anything is possible.

Isn't pee supposed to be green today ? Mine is
I understand people are on different levels.
Those are not "temper tantrums". That is my annoyance at those who post asking for help, asking for docs etc then taking no action when docs are referred etc.
I have referred to LLMDs that I know personally + have worked with. Those referred don't take any action.
Why are people posting that they really need help but they will not really do anything ?
Isn't Einsteins' definition of insanity doimg the same thing over and over again and expecting different results ?

massman, your showing 'annoyance' in the tone of your posts won't help the situation the least little bit and they are temper-tantrums, indicative of Lyme-rage.
Why do you insist that people should do what you tell them to do? What people are actually looking for is information! People need time to take in all the info they can find and process it into a plan, suited to there own needs and comfort levels.
Why don't you try just posting links, without any comments and I think you'll find that attitudes will change. You'll always have certain groups of posters that are interested in what you have to say and others that aren't. With regard to why people do, or don't do things, please consult a psych expert. As far as the rest of the world is concerned, that's just the way it is and your squalling like a mashed cat has become so much white noise. Give us all a break!
Just relax...

No mass, I'm not raging back at you. I just happen to think you have good info to offer and the posters on this site (& others) tend to shut down when you try to push them into action without giving them time to process it all.
Yes, I've worked extensively with the public, in various venues. I've found that you can talk until you're blue in the face, but until the public, or person has to actually deal with the experience, personally, attitudes don't change.
Conversation concluded. I need to find soy info. Bye.

Massman, I read, consider, and value your information and opinions.
But it really is off-putting when you scold, treat everyone like children, and assume that no one knows anything and that we're all idiots missing the obvious and not treating correctly.
And yes, you do seem overly angry and frustrated at times. More so than would be expected from just posting some helpful information on a lyme disease board.
Why do you care so much about what OTHERS are, or are not, doing? They can take your advice and run with it...or not. You know what you believe in and that should be enough.
So like others have said here, put it out there and hope it helps someone. That's all you can do!
Don't let it ruffle your feathers so much! It's really not worth the stress it appears to be creating for you.
