He's doing pretty well now but the whole thing was just awful. And they think he has diabetes, which triggered the heart attack. He is in his early 40s. To say this was a huge shock would be an understatement.
My worst fear is for my 2 young kids... I am still struggling with stuff from Lyme and he was the healthy one.

So sorry to hear this bad news, and being so young makes it that much worse.
Keep strong for your husband and children, I know, easier said than done.
I wish your husband a speedy recovery!

I am glad he is doing okay. If it is diabetes, that can be very manageable these days. If it is something else, I hope they trace it properly.
In either case, diet and exercise can be a great help and maybe even for the whole family.
Hang in there. Let us know how you are doing. Lots of people here care.
Best wishes from someone who has heart issues (very well managed) and lots of diabetes in other parts of the family, where they all live pretty normal lives .

Thanks for your kind words. I think I had an anxiety attack yesterday... tired of being strong for everyone else - takes its toll.
I am ok with being strong for my husband and kids, but I wish my MIL would get it together because she's old enough to handle her own emotions and should not put this on us.

Prayers for you and yours. This is scary and hard to deal with as you now know, but I hope all is well real soon for all of you.

Amen to that!
My husband had to have heart bypass surgery 2 years ago. When the doctor told me, it was a total surprise.
I know the stress of it.

He was just released and we are so happy and thankful to have him home. Think it will take a while for my nerves to recover.
