Has anyone noticed that their "plant and pollen" based allergies are drastically reduced well into treatment?

I have suffered very bad spring time allergies for years. They had seemed to slowly improved over the years but still I relied heavily on OTC antihistamines to get through the spring.

I am about 10 months into treatment and I did not have to use OTC antihistamines at all! Barely a scratchy throat, itchy eyes, blocked nose. The only time I really noticed it was out golfing a few times when the pollen was so thick in the air you could see it blowing. It made me sneeze a lot and have to blow my noze but this spring has been night and day difference than it use to be!

Is your diet really good? If you are staying away from starches and sugars, your body will be better able to handle things like pollens.

Just a thought.

My diet really hasn't changed. I have eaten fairly healthy for years eating mostly good carbs and staying away from sweets and sugars.

Have been athletic with a lean muscular build for years now.

It is weird that after a solid 15 years of allergies I seem to be almost completely cured of them.

I'm not allergic to a lot of plants and pollens, but I'm allergic to lots of chemicals and a common perfume ingredient.

My doc said that once the infection load is down, my allergies will improve because my immune system will stop attacking stuff.

I noticed a decrease in allergies with a certain set of antibiotic meds a couple months ago (then I tried something else because insurance wasn't covering them and the allergies came back).

I'm starting back on the old plan and am hoping for the same relief. I hadn't had allergy relief like that in the 15 years I've been battling with health problems.

I have not had a full blown allergic rash since about 10 months into treatment. My seasonal allergies had been better but we are having a brutal Pollen season and I am feeling it this year.

MTMT: YES! Me too!

Flower and weed pollens only bothered me one day so far. Normally I would need claritin or allegra twice daily throughout spring or summer.

Hopefully it means my immune system is not so autoimmune as before.

my lldr told me that my 1,001 food allergies and my environmental sensitivities and allergies were probably made by lyme & co and that after treatment we will see how I am with that and then go from there.

I do feel much better and can actually eat things I haven't been able to tolerate in years!
