I recently had a stool sample analyzed and it came back that I had no yeast, no good bacteria and no acid in my gut.

very curious. I am on two abx for lyme for 8 months. Any my dr would to the muscle testing and tell me I had yeast.

I am on a very strict diet (whats bread?) and take probiotics daily.

So can I have a systemic yeast infection without having yeast in my gut?

Hey no-yeast!

[Big Grin]

My first recommendation is to never depend on poop and poop alone to get a good answer.

From what I understand the tests are not always good too. Where have we heard THAT before?

Also.. different forms of yeast, so could that be a factor?

I know you can have a yeast infection in various places... and not seem to be bothered in others.

Soooooooooooooooooo.. if you think you may have yeast.. it could be elsewhere besides in that one sample.

Sometimes poop lies to you.

By the way- my systemic yeast test (blood) was negative and I was eaten up with yeast. Go figure.

Hope that helps some?

Tincup.....that was funny! [lol]

Have you ever been on any type of yeast meds such as diflucan,

Sporonax, nystatin, et?

Just curious. My first trial of diflucan brought about a herx

Almost as bad as the Lyme. [Eek!]

What does your tongue look like?

That is usually my best indicator.

Hugs,

Geneal

Is your tongue white? that would also indicate a yeast infection.

A white film on your tongue does not necessarily indicate a yeast infection. Many people have a white coating on their tongue.

DmB fan , I had the test too. I paid over $200 for it and guess what! It said the same thing. No yeast but no bifido (good bactera)

Do I believe it? NO!!!

I have terrible die off reactions from anti fungus and I also react to mold and fungus. A naturopath once told me that those stool samples miss the yeast in your stool because it is attached to the intestine.

Boy, what a waste of money.
