I got the horrific virus going around. After being sick with it the day after Christmas I thought my remaining symptoms were babesia or borellia coming back out or the drugs I started to contain them.

I had vetigo, muscle pain, fatigue, diarrhea, slightly runny nose and a bloated gassy feeling as if my food was not digesting. I quit the drugs for a day.

I very suddenly got sick again yesterday and was up all night vomiting. It is the worst virus I can remember. It has gone through the whole family except my husband who is on LDN>

It would be nice if all the symptoms were from the virus and not the infections coming back but I guess only time will tell.

Has anyone else gotten sick with it?

My son-in-law had something similar and was projectile vomitting (sorry if it's tmi)all night. He was very weak and could barely get to the bathroom. The doctor wasn't sure if it was the flu or food poisoning and gave him flagyl and cipro, he was better by the next day.

It's very important to stay hydrated and replace electrolytes with things like gatorade.. I know sugar is usually bad but you can make your own electrolyte drink but it also calls for sugar.

Dear Nefferdun and Randibear, a virus outbreak will deplete the already vitamin C depleted body even more. giving more freedom to move for Borrelia & co.

If it is a virus, the ABX will not do something to help.
The toxicity of the ABX even uses up more vitamin C left in your system.

The only real remedy is of course taking as much vitamin C in as you can.
Good recovery!!!

Cocount water is fantastic for replacing electrolytes. It is also antiviral, antiparasitic and antifungal. Tastes great too.

Yes, coconut water is a great sugguestion!

The health benefits of coconut water extend to the way you look and feel. For example, coconut water adds moisture to your skin helping hydrate it from the inside out. It may also help promote weight maintenance or loss since it contains fiber, which slows the absorptions of the sugars that lead to fat-storage. And speaking of sugar, coconut water has less total sugar as well as calories in comparison with other sports drinks, so your intake will be less.

Some other coconut water health benefits may include:

Kidney stone prevention and treatment
Anti-viral, -fungal, and -bacterial properties
Acid reflux prevention
Digestion aid

I am still so weak I can hardly stand but the vomiting part is over. I have been craving vitamin C. Usually I never drink orange juice but that, and oranges, was all I could handle. I have some vitamin C and I will take that. It sounds really good to me. I am still not back on abx.

I would have thought it was food poisoning too if everyone else did not have the same thing. A lot of body pain too especially cramping in the stomach which heat helps. I have been sleeping with a heating pad on high.

I do not know where to get plain coconut milk that does not have sugar.

The day I got sick I had a craving for chips and salsa - a real big no no and I will never eat them again. It is funny how when you get sick the food you had that day sounds so horrible you never want to eat it again. Completely repulsive.

Hate to say this, but maybe its a good thing. Lyme people don't get sick, so maybe your immune system is kicking in. You might be miserable, but think that maybe you could be working again. Don't think co's or lyme, hopefully this is good. Im sick and tired of hearing that too, but it really sounds like virus/cold is good. God bless. good luck.

Lyme in Putman, that is what people say and I have not caught a virus or a cold in so long I can't remember the last time - but I used to get the shots. Not this year.

Wouldn't it be nice. . . . .

I am still in bed and can't do anything. Headaches and weakness. I can eat although I don't want to. It seems like more than a virus. Maybe the infections coming out again. I have been off meds but will start them again today. The yeast is disgusting. Have to hit that first.

Miserable day in here but outside it is warm and sunny. So rare for this time of year and I am missing it.

nefferdun,

It's coconut water, NOT coconut milk. CW, also is high in Vitamin C. You can order it online at vitacost.

Hope you feel better.

Gael

thanks glm, right now nothing sounds edible so I won't be ordering until I get past this. Miserable!

Most of the time I am laying here with my eyes closed focused on nothing but the squeel in my ear and the old dog snoring. When the headache subsides for a moment I check things out online - then back to waiting - this too will end.

Or if you're signed on with Amazon from this site ,just click on left side and order.... different kinds,,I don't like plain or pineapple..and better cold.. tons of potassium also...

If you don't have a prime account with Amazon it might be worth it,...It's like $70 a year , but if you buy PRIME products there's no shipping.
