"Life in the open air is good for body and mind. It is God's medicine for the restoration of health. Pure air, good water, sunshine, the beautiful surroundings of nature--these are His means for restoring the sick to health in natural ways. To the sick it is worth more than silver or gold to lie in the sunshine or in the shade of the trees. {CH 166.3}
In the country our sanitariums can be surrounded by flowers and trees, orchards and vineyards. Here it is easy for physicians and nurses to draw from the things of nature lessons teaching of God. Let them point the patients to Him whose hand has made the lofty trees,

the springing grass, and the beautiful flowers, encouraging them to see in every opening bud and blossoming flower an expression of His love for His children."

Probably the most rewarding aspect of our local support/education group is seeing people NOW and remembering how they were THEN. Everyone is different but at the end of a year, across the board, EVERYONE is doing better. Instead of a bunch of zombies swaying for lack of balance, we are now a chattering group of advocates and have an abundance of ideas. We're a lively group and care deeply about any new members.
When diagnosed with lyme, one patient was told the treatment was almost worse than the disease. Not to scare you but to let you be aware that you're not digressing, you are improving. Each symptom will resurface and then hopefully go away. I am 2 years into treatment and feel great most of the time. When I say great, I mean great for a lymie. I realize I have limitations but I work 4 days a week booked solid doing hair. I am active on the weekends and constantly have a project going. My mind is clear. My hair is no longer thinned out.
IT WILL HAPPEN FOR YOU TOO!!!
I am very careful about diet, well as I get better I'm less careful but I'm watching all the time. I also take alot of supplements.
Our support group has really come to life in the last year. I wish you were here so we could help you but at least I can let you feel the atmosphere we have of jubilance when we are together. It HAPPENS, people DO GET BETTER. It feels like it will never end but you WILL reach a place where you do not feel sick all of the time.
Take care and hang in there, you have the best piece of knowledge, you know what is wrong w/you.
My LLMD told me that the IV would have a worse herx reaction than the oral. Because it kills of the lyme faster, the reaction is stronger. It will get worse before it gets better.
You also asked for positive, happy thoughts. Today is bring your child to work day. My work place is teaching all the kids about voting and being involved with elections through a mock election. It's amazing how excited these kids are. A positive view of the future.
Today, I'm in school part time, I'm interning at a snazzy place over the summer (I told the boss I was sick, and he said, don't worry, we really want you, we'll tailor the program to your needs), I'm doing VERY gentle yoga, and I work at night. There are still a lot of rough spots, but the big question now is, when in the h--- will I be back to full functioning, dagnabit--and, to be honest, is it safe to get laid yet. I am gradually moving from the "disabled" category to the "chronic" category, and my dream is to be working full-time by Jan. of next year. At my current pace of recovery, that's doable.
About 50% of this improvement came from the abx, and 50% came from herbs and craniosacral therapy. Be wary of alternative stuff, but don't rule it out, it might help.
