Lord, I thank you that there is no distance in the spirit. My Brothers and Sisters here are hurting. They cry out to you. Your Word says that You hear us always and I thank you for that. We confess our sins one to another so we may be healed! If there are any blocks to healing, let us know. We want to change. We want fellowship with you! We seek your face, not only your hands right now.

Lord, I thank you that everything is naked in your sight. Your Word is a two-edged sword that seperates! This darkness cannot hide from you. I thank you for the authority in your son's name. I thank you that Jesus said that greater things we will do. So, I humbly believe and do what He told me. In Jesus' name I take authority over every single nest of vipers -- all these spirochettes, babesia parasites, erlichia bacteria, Bartonellas, bugs, candida funguses, disbiosis and every and all co-infections. Listen, hard, NO DEADLY THING WILL HARM US. It's over. I curse you the way Jesus cursed that Fig tree. Who the Son sets free is free in need. I know God's listens to our prayers. There are no athiests in the foxholes as they say. People with Lyme need an all out assault against this thing. We have to get right physically, emotionally and spiritually to heal.

I didn't mean to offend any non-Christians (Hey, i was born Jewish and dabbled in the occult and a zillion religions way back when.
I understand. Ticks will give you a lot of things. For some, they gave us religion!

I usually notice that nobody (including athiests, wiccas and satanists) will decline having prayer. But, we are taught how to pray in Matthew 6 and I have to stick to my guns that this is how it's done.
 

I agree that a certain time of day or night should be set and all our prayers offerred up at one time.

GOD IS LOVE---NO JUDGING
gOD IS lOVE---nO resentment
God is love---all patience (patients, too?)
God is love---all power
God is love---all supply

I pray and pray for a cure-God's tender touch on all of us who are sufferring and for our families that are either caretakers or have this disease themselves.

I'm not against religion, I am deeply spiritual myself but not in the same way as the participants in favor of this thread. You've all heard that religion and politics are two subjects that don't go over well at a party. There's a reason why that is such universal wisdom. People tend to lose their common sense and civility when it comes to these two topics. Not all of us experience a connection with the universe in the same way, and it can be discomfiting to have another's practices foisted upon us.

It is not a simple matter of just not reading the posts. That's not the point. Once one "group" is allowed to practice their religion freely here, it will be hard to say no to another group, and that is not what this medical forum is about. People who feel uncomfortable with the religious overtones of the board will not stay. Some of those people will be in great need of help, and others will be those who offer help. We who are united in lyme cannot afford to lose those people from the board.

Threads based on lesser "belief systems" such as mercury poisoning and vibrational healing have been deleted from here after going up in conflagration. Interested parties (myself included) went elsewhere to post about such topics dear to them.

No one is telling you not to pray -- all we ask is that you quickly gather your prayer group and take it somewhere more appropriate.

I do not post because I too have relapsed. For three years it has been two steps forward, one and three quarters steps backward. But, I do visit the site and read others' posts almost daily.(And I am sure there are many others like me.)

This thread, however, compelled me to weigh in.

While I have compassion for what HOBOKINITE is experiencing,I agree with Chocolat, Sue vG, and Lisa that HOBOKINITE's posts belong elsewhere.

I can't recall verbatim (sorry, bad cognitive problems) the saying about discussing religion or politics, but it seems to me it is relevent to this situation.

I am not a fan of religion, but if it is going to make some feel better, then go for it.

It is all about whatever works for each of us. To some, seeing a prayer on here MAY!
make their day just when they thought they had lost all hope.

Also, many times lyme makes us touchy, so many comments on here... would not be said if the person was feeling better, mentally and emotionally.

I am feeling very together as I write this now.

Prayer! well, if it helps someone, then let them do it.

That way it is still on Lymenet but not in the medical or general sections, it can clearly be labeled as Prayer,so as not to offend any one who might not be like minded, they don't even have to open that thread.

A couple years ago a few of us would meet in off topic every tuesday night for prayer, nobody ever complained about it.

I think what Hobo is doing is wonderful, especially since many of us find that we just are not able to get to church as often as we would like anymore.

We all have enough stress without adding more and if this bothers even one person being on medical, I think we should move it, but I do have to ponder we all have the option to not open a post that may upset us, whatever the subject may be.

There are NO rules with lyme disease, as we all know,

what works for one, does not work for another.

Lyme is KILLING some of us, it is killing me I can tell you that, so let people do whatever it is they have to do to get well, as long as it is not hurting anyone.

LIGHTEN up on people here, let them get well, and whatever way it is.

On the left hand side there's a place to post messages. We can post prayers and prayer requests there.

let me try for the last time to be a peacemaker. This disease certainly has brought me to new levels of anger. It's hard not to explode sometimes. I've done a lot of repenting over the years (even when I thought I was right)! So, let's just finish this conversation, repent to one another and get back to the business of helping each other find a cure for this bug!!

I must say you are very blessed with your words. The prayer was very moving and wonderful.

I have been at this site since April of 2003 and have watched way to many arguments start over difference of opinion.

We have lost lots of very good people because other people could not scroll by a post.

The arguments over alternative treatments, Marnie, Gigi and others have stopped posting as much for being attached. I can't remember who started the rife stuff but they don't post as much either.

Why???

Why must someone leave this wonderful site to go somewhere more appropriate for what they want to talk about? Isn't it all about healing?? Whatever makes you feel better in this disease.

I myself miss the great and educational discussions we use to have on this site. There are alot of new members that are really missing the knowledge these people had to offer.

I am not trying to start or continue a fight. If it should be moved what is wrong with off topic instead of complete off the site?? I myself find yahoo very confusing, it is not as simple as this site.

I have never posted anything like this before in fear I might offend someone but in this post I think there are alot of people getting offended and that is not what is was ment to be.

How are new people to post now without the fear of wondering is someone going to want me off the site for what I am about to say?

I hope I didn't upset anyone but I see no reason to ask members to move to another site. Why not go to off topic?? They have great and heated discussion in off topic.

We are suppose to be making everyone feel welcome and help guide them in this struggle.

Maybe this SHOULD be in general support, but let a moderator know how you feel and let it go at that. Better yet, just scroll on by and don't read anything that you don't like or are offended by. Why aggravate yourself?

It makes us into someone we are NOT.

It steals our brains, our sanity, our bodies, it devours us... and we keep at it to try to overcome it.

It takes such great strength to overcome lyme for many of us.

I know for myself, that when I write on here, and look at my post many times, the day after and so forth, I am so sickened many times that that is my vocabulary, that I just die inside sometimes. I have to let it go, cause I just cannot afford to think less of myself... that one day, I hope I will get my mind and body back.

Many who post on here that are so sick with lyme, have no idea that they post in the wrong colomn sometimes. As they get better, they will post better posts. They will be able to figure out things more.

We HAVE to be more easy on people on here... there is no place for most to go but here for help.... and we all want to get better, we all want to be pain free...
insanity free and so forth.

Thanks everyone for wanting to come up with a solution that's agreeable. "Beach4so" I 'm in agreement that if we take it to the "off topic"site that would seem most appropriate. Compromise and putting the needs of others for the good of all is the right course to go with.
Those of us here that are new to Lyme would love to reap the rewards of so much collective wisdom from you wonderfully wise, educated lymers.
I have been helped heaps, from many good people out there always attentive to questions from newbies.
Many times I have seen an SOS, for the troops to rally when someone desperately needs answers or help, and they come a runnin!
I'd like to say one more thing about the degree of "mouth opening" intelligence in the Lyme family.
WOW! it's hard to find anything not working about your brains...I'm in constant awe of the creativity of thought, the instincts and intuitive gifts, boggle the mind.
I'm thinkin some studies should be done on intelligence in this group of sickos( Uh, just kidding) I really think you're pioneers and God is using each and everyone to help 'teach' the professionals on the front lines.

About three years ago....we had a wonderful group of people who regularly prayed for each other. Some asked for prayer, and others joined in in prayer.

Most of us really dont come on anymore,...because the nitpicking rudetalking crap is just too much and we are doing other things with our lives....like fighting where it counts...at the legislative levels, not online here with other sick people

So...if you guys want to get down on "the power of prayer" then this is not the same loving lymenet of a few years ago.

You newbies...who forget that us rude longstanding lymenet people have a lot of insight on issues that half of you have no clue about..will have to re invent the wheel if we are out of here- and a lot of time has gone into that invention.

Keep up the good prayers you guys. They do bring everyone who wishes to be involved closer...and those who dont like them...DONT OPEN THE POST..its not that hard

From a "Long time lyme member"...who by the way finds power of prayer has lifted my daughter to fully functional~ have a good evening.

I agree wholeheartedly. I too have stopped posting as much, due to all the name calling, rudeness and other childish type behavior I have witnessed this past year.

I have this site to thank for giving me back my health and helping me get my 2 children diagnosed and on their way to wellness.

So I will never abandon those who may benefit from my experiences, and I will not stop posting here just because some feel the need to force their rudeness and sarcasm on others.

What is the harm in posting a thread about prayer in Medical??? I believe in the power of prayer. More so than any medication, rife, supplement, ozone therapy, essence therapy, and list goes on.

If we can discuss other medial and alternative therapies to help us get well, what's the harm in posting about the power of prayer.

True this could be moved to off topic, but not many people go there, as it's not a warm and fussy board like it is over here.

I think it's a shame that this post has to be moved...

I'm a Christian and if I saw some other post about another religion or whatever I would not be offended.

If I saw a post praising satan I would think, humm, that's weird. And then I would continue to try to get my insurance company to pay for my Bicillin. If I gave you my insurances phone # would some of you direct your anger at them?

Very few have followed us to our new home on OFF TOPIC. What? is this the wrong side of town or something? Hey, now, that I live in rural Georgia, it takes an hour drive for a decent cup of coffee. One and half hours for Thai food. There is no excuse, guys!
