I'm wondering what else has antioxidants. I know of co-Q10, but I'm not sure what else qualifies.

The implications of this for taking supplemental antioxidants during artemisinin tx are none too clear to me. It seems obvious that there is some antagonism, but I dont know how to guess how significant it might be, or whether its significance outweighs the benefits of antioxidants to the host anti-babs response(s). To do biochemistry, one needs some rough quantities at least.

Personally, I have so far been consuming minimal antioxidants (no supplements, just regular good diet) during my babs treatment, but that is partly conditioned by the fact that I am hoping the treatment will be only a month or so long. My decision aint exactly science. But like Charlie says, what little info I have is good enough for me.
Vit C is also an antioxidant, and a complete list of antioxidants can probbaly be found with google.
I have never satifcatority gotten an answer from the supplement companies about the artisiminin SUPPLEMENTs on the market today..i.e. how much is in the capsule- and do they create an oxygen free radical??? Or hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)?? If so, then I wouldn't think long term this would be a good thing... i.e. constant low level of free radicals is corrosive to all cells.
Almost all the antioxidants neutralize a free radical-- so you'd be wasting your money if you took these substances together.
If the supplement does create free radicals, and this is your aim, then antioxidants should be withheld while taking it, then resumed when you stop the artesiminin.

The magnesium increase is because a babs herx will cause muscle pain and tightness.
She didn't explain why for iron, but I think it might be because babs lives in red blood cells, which are also the transporter of iron.

The quality of this paper is pretty good, in my amateur opinion. It seems well-detailed.
On web pages I have seen other antimicrobial actions mentioned as "possible" for artemisinin and related molecules, but I have never seen a ref.
