But then again what doesn't it like?
Have they mentioned straight cathing to you? A neurogenic bladder can quickly turn into kidney reflux ( vesticoureteral reflux) and cause permanent kidney damage, as it did my daughter during gestation.
Not to mention the oddles of infections you can get from not voiding completely.
I have seen my daughter is some awfully severe pain from not cathing on time. I couldn't imagine being diagnosed with this and not straight cathing.
What type do you have? Did they do a void and cystiogrammy to confirm it?
Once I started the treatments..quinine/cleosin, mepron, zithromax it slowly subsided.
have you been checked for co-infections?..I know it's painful..hang in there..and maybe get something stronger for the pain.

I had testing done as an in-pt. I know how the tests were performed however don't recall their names. I had bad experiences and never followed through the way I should have.
I was straight cathed in the hospital many times. When my nurses came to my home I refused it.
I try to deal with this on my own although am I only hurting myself. I don't know.
I never heard of kidney reflux. However it does make sense the urine has to go somewhere.
I have all three problems associated with neurogenic bladder.
I was treated for co-infections many years ago but think it is time to be retested.
Thank you all for your input.

I agree with inaccurate tests. What is the treatment. I have a dr. appt. tomorrow.
Thanks...
I have been on Levaquin a few times for the lyme. Mepron years ago but don't think I took Zithromax at the same time. Don't even know if I finished the Mepron therapy just remember how sick it made me. Very difficult to tolerate.
I will run these past my dr and see what his opinion is. Hopefully something will help.
Take care.

Probably a herx. Mepron needs to have Zithromax along with it to get the best results. You can also use clindamycin/quinine for babesia. Sounds like you need more treatment for that!

I have been trying to follow the postings today and just curious as far as opinions go babesia would be the cause of neurogenic bladder over lyme.
Is it more prone to affect the bladder? Or would it just be better to treat babesia?
I am currently on long term treatment for lyme and the neuro stuff is worsening.
If you could kindly explain this to me about the babesia before tomorrow I would greatly appreciate it soI can explain to my dr.
Hope I made sense you all know how difficult it is to understand things most of the time.
Thanks...
I don't know if the medical world knows either...??
But you should make sure you are treated for babesia if you want to get over the Lyme. That's fact.
I would ask for mepron/zith or clindamycin/quinine. You can also rotate the meds for Lyme and babesia.
Maybe do a month or two of each.
I'm not a dr and this is not medical advice!
