been through multipal treatments (IV) and oral =
been on:
vanco, rocephan, clafron, flagyl, biaxin, doxy, zithro,clyndomiciacin and others that i cant think of
been through hypobarics but only 20 treatments (unable to do more)
have had 5 pic lines
currently trying to get offf pain meds
feel like im dieing -
wondering a about gh and anabolics from info ive seen in med sites regarding aids patients wasting away
although i dont have aids i am wasting away - my weight continues to drop and i am bed ridden - dont have strength to do anything -legs shake and tremor from fatigue -
joints burn and hurt tremendiously
been like this for years- cant get even smallest of exercise - lost all muscle
deca nandrolone (steriod) is used by athletes to build muscle and repair joints
gh repairs tendons and rebuilds cells in organs like heart and liver (and is suppose to increase immune activity)
there was one person in search engine that sayed they did gh with little benefit - but i dont think its fair to write off based on one persons results
problem is - im sure it would feel great while on these drugs but what happens when you stop!
these arent the kind of drugs you can stay on for extended periods of time - and if your female there is even more concern
has any one else done any research on this -
i know at a glance this idea looks bad - but i dont know which is worse - living life like i am for longer or being more active at any expense

It definitely helped with the muscle tone and wasting....as well as sleep, pain, fatigue, sense of well-being.
Dr C in MO will test you and treat you for this if you have a problem in this area. He is an LLMD.

did it help with joint rehab - did you get stronger - have you seen if positive effeccts stay with you when you stop
said that is a HUGE NO NO!! That was one of the first questions asked on our initial visit.
That and were there any root canals done? Both cause problems with Lymies.
I am so sorry you are so ill and not getting better with the treatment you have received.

I was losing weight and muscle both and a doc put me on a short course of anabolic steroids. If you read up on these, though, you will see that it isn't something to stay on indefinitely.
What changed my situation was not the steroids, in my opinion, but retreatment for babesia. This can cause anorexia. The last time around I was on mepron + zithromax + artemesinin. Had done two weeks with clindamycin and another drug, but think it was the triple therapy that finally did the trick.
Didn't see anything on your previous list of meds that indicated you have been treated for babesia. Have you been tested? My case was not caught for several years because they were looking for the wrong babesia. There are many babesias and only tests for two. So, even if you have come up with negative test result, it is still a possibility.
Do you have any other babs symptoms? Any night sweats ever? Mine were only very occasional, instead of dramatic, so I brushed them off as just another lyme symptom (which it could have been since there is overlap.)
negative bebsia, positive on bartenella
positive results include
positive western blot
positive alisa (all 5 bands)
positive pcr of spinal fluid
igg & igm indicate positive
all for bartenella
my LLD says could still have other co infections like babesia even though i tested neg. for babasia - not sure what that means as far as if i have or have not been treated for babesia - none of the abx i listed above would be helpful for this co-infection?
i am getting very desperate -
having body jerks and vilent grand mall seizures (recently for about a year)
cognitive is real bad- have a hard time even playing solitare with cards - i have to have my husband type for me cuz i cant look into screen to long without head ache

Also you have not taken any meds for the bart.
Bart often manifests itself in the gut and the brain. You need something like Cipro, Rifampin or Levaquin to kill that out.
There is alot of hope for you if you can find a dr who will treat you properly....or a dr who will listen to your concerns and be willing to try other meds for you.
I don't understand why you want anabolic steroids. They have so many side effects. Seems like you would be going from the frying pan to the fire.
It would be great if you could find a dr who will test all your hormone levels and straighten them out for you. It's worked wonders for me.

If not, then maybe your doc should consider trying some babesia treatment even without a positive test. Did you ever have a Bowen test for co-infections? They look for the actual organism under the microscope, not antibodies or DNA. That was how my babesia was caught.
Have heard that seizure can be associated with bartonella. But the symptoms overlap a lot.
Sorry you are in such bad shape. The advice I have heard in the past is that if you are not getting better with extended lyme treatment, then try treating for co-infections like bartonella and babesia. The people who are the worst off tend to have more than one kind of germ involved.
Can you ask your doc specifically if you have had any treatment for these, and if not, could you try it?
was oral dose - about 6 months ago - cant remember dosage
didnt cause any herx though so i assumed it wasnt working - is that a logical assumtion
you see usaully when i go on abx i feel even worse -
flagyl messes me up so bad its totally unbarable
vanco wasnt so bad - made me tired
clyndo was brief - maybe i should try again for longer duration
i guess i assume if i dont feel like ****- then its not working
