I would like to know your recommended routine for having liver enzymes/CBC bloodwork done on these abx.
Need to see if my family member is doing it often enough. I know I can call his llmd tomorrow but thought I could get some responses tonight.

I get my labs done once a month no matter which abx I'm taking.
Milk Thissle is a good supplement for liver function. It helps!
BTW - I stopped taking Ketek when someone fw me an article on people who have had liver complications from it.

I agree with Annie. My dr. gets a full blood work-up every 3-4 weeks no matter what abx I am on. It's always good to be a bit more safe with this stuff.

Every 30 days or I don't get refills.
It sounds like a pain but I happen to think my doctor is practicing good medicine - for both our benefits.

When my son was on mepron for two months he had to have bloodwork done weekly. His llmd insisted.
Recently on IV with our new llmd it was, of course, weekly and then when off that..... it went to two weeks. If it was fine for a month.....then to three weeks.
We just did not ask this last time and now that he is on flagyl - I was just wondering what others do.
My llmd just has my other son and I do the labs monthly - even when he was on mepron.

Blood work Once a month on ketek. Thats what my LLMD is doing.
