hey geden13,
All I can tell you is that i get the exact same thing. My muscles twitch all the time and my legs jerk all the time. I am not on antibiotics yet so this is due to whatever i have. I am in the process of being tested for lyme.
Good luck, it is very stressful when my body jerks...especially because i have no idea why.

Hello, Do a search for myoclonus here on lymenet. There are tons of discussions on involuntary muscle jerking.
Personally, I would have violent full body jerks for hours at a time before I was diagnosed. Once I began treatment the jerking became worse because of herxing.
After a year of antibiotic treatment and using the anticonvulsant Zonegran, I rarely have a jerk throughout the day. If I do jerk, it happens more when I'm relaxed at night. I'm still in treatment.
Please consider videoing your jerking. Documentation can be very helpful!
Take care, Ms. Myo

Very good advice Myo!! Video taping it would be proof it happens...when I was explaining my jerking and twitching to my neuroligist she turned to my husband and said...Have you ever witnessed this twitching or jerking?
Next time I will go in armed with proof!!!

Gary, the one I take is chelated Magnesium with Potassium. It works very well for me. I got it at PhytoPharmica, as recommended by another member here.

I have myoclonus big time...even in my jaw!! Plus I have muscle twitching in all muscles, even my chin. I have muscle cramping and weakness mainly in my right leg/foot and arm/hand.
My right thigh goes numb and heavy when I exercise. I now have pain in that leg after I exercise that will last 2-3 days.
These are all very disturbing symptoms. I am also seeing the head of neurology at a major teaching hospital to rule out other causes (mitochondrial disorders, MG, etc).
