I have been dealing with it for two years+ and cant shake it, not even with 300mg of lyrica a day.
The burning is in my upper back, shoulders, arms and legs. The buzzing is all over.
Is this common with lyme? It does not seem to be that common with cfs.
Thanks for any replies.

I have burning in my upper left back and shoulder area every day. I'm not sure if it's from Lyme, a disc in my neck, or both. I've had it for a long time though. I don't know if it is common with Lyme. What do you mean by "buzzing"?

I've had burning and buzzing of varying degrees for the past nine years. I think many with neuro-Lyme have some degree of this.

Hey Scott, Have you felt any positive change since your treatment has started?
Posted by SForsgren (Member # 7686) on :
Huge Huge changes. I have gone from about an 8 on a 1-10 scale to about a 1 or 2. Most of the time, I don't feel it at all. Under higher stress, I may still get a slight sensation, but the "burning" that was painful is becoming a memory....

I just started getting the burning. Lower back, hips, feet , bladder to name a few.
Started lyrica today.

buzzing, I guess it is like tingling times ten. When my buzzing gets real bad it is like vibrating.

Yes, I get "buzzing" as well.

I get buzzing/vibrating too. It just moved to a new place (my eyebrow & forehead) and gets really wild at night. It visits other places from time to time. Stress makes it much worse, brings it out right away. It happens most right after I take tetracycline. I associate it with the tetra finding some lyme and getting into a battle with it. hats
