Okay I haven't done antibiotics yet or rife, but here are the top 10 "alternative" things that have helped me the most (that I can pinpoint anyways). (17 years with Lyme - 16.5 years undiagnosed - working the whole time)

1. Magnesium!! - enabled me to function, reduced muscle, neck and back pain by 90%. Stopped twitches and spasms and helped my heart. Incredibly important.

2. Low carbhoydrate diet

3. Organic veggie/fruit smoothie every morning - lots of organic apple juice

4. Flax seed oil - good for inflammation

5. Exercise - when I could do it

6. No alcohol, coffee or MSG

7. Digestive enzymes

8. Adequate sleep

9. L-Caritine! Life saver for my hyperthyroidism and congitive function

10. cetyl-myristoleate

11. I know this was only a top 10 list but I think copper supplementation also helped me. I have taken, and continue to take a lot of other supplements, but these are some of my favourites. I also like essential oils but can't say if they have helped me yet.

1. Combo of rocephin + biaxin + plaquenil

5. Sleep

I'm cheating a bit here - but I think my first top ten focused too heavily on supplements. So here is my revised - holistic - top 10.

1. Being my own advocate and researcher
2. Finding a lyme literate doctor
3. Supplements - see some of my top 10 above - magnesium and L-Carnitine being key
4. Exercise
5. Diet - very, very important. Low carb, almost no sugar, no alcohol, no coffee, no glutens etc. Lots of organic fruits and veggies (low starch)
6. Internet support groups - I finally didn't feel alone in my fight against Lyme
7. Being politically active regarding Lyme disease.
8. Rest
9. Controlling stress
10. Being open-minded regarding this disease
