My hormones are all out of whack from Lyme. Very low aldosterone, etc.
Low to nonexistant in many hormone levels. I am in a catabolic state which means breaking down.

Florinef helps me as does treating lyme and babesia.

Florinef was great at relieving my symptoms but anyone with an infection needs to exercise extreme caution.
Florinef is a steroid, and like all steroids it turns down the immune system. So, while you take it you might feel better, but you are also allowing the infection to spread unchecked.

florinef made my fatigue and muscle weakness profound. Was taking it for POTS. I stopped it after a week. Just my experience.
If you do take florinef, you MUST take potassium supplements with it and have levels checked periodically.

Florinef is often used to treat forms of orthostatic intolerance. It helps the body retain fluid, so as a result there is increased blood volume and increased BP.
I use it along with midodrine and Inderal to manage what was profound Dysautonomia. My condition has improved slightly since I began Lyme treatment last spring.
As noted it is necessary to take rx potassium when taking Florinef, since it leaches potassium from the body. My LLMD also monitors my potassium levels on a regular basis.
