I've read about using rifampin for Bart, but is anyone here using it to treat Lyme, and if so, how is it working for you?
I'm supposed to start this soon.
Thanks for any input.

I didn't know it was ever used for Lyme, but I would try it anyway since you may have undetected bart or some other bacterial agent.
Good luck! Posted by Jill E. (Member # 9121) on :
It works on Lyme and Ehrlichia. A pal was put on it for a seemingly resistant or difficult case or Ehrlichia, but it turned out she had Bart, too, so it hits both.
I have very bad Bart and Rifampin has been very hard for me. If you have sensitivities, ramp up slowly if your practitioner agrees.

borrelia resist rifampin, but affect some coinfection in CNS
