No no NO!(*!*)!*! GOSH NO!*)*!)!!!!!!
BUT that brings up an interesting story...
I know this Lymie in LA, this incredible woman, who was married to a doctor and had a daughter and was convinced they all had Lyme. Husband had MS diagnosis. So they test and test and TEST and negative, negative, NEGATIVE!!!!!!!!!
This is a true story.
So this woman, who is incredible, as you shall see, insists and arranges for them all 3 to have BMBs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BONE MARROW BIOPSIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And has those tested-
AND they are all 3 PCR positive for Lyme, Ehrlichiosis and Babesiosis!!!!!!!!!
True story. Incredible woman.
Wouldn't have been able to do it if her husband wasn't an MD of course, but still, incredible woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to both of you for the concise resounding answer. Too bad. It feels weird all of a sudden not to be able to help out in this way.
How interesting that the CA woman's biopsies ended up being The Test that worked.
Take care!

Considering the sickest people need bone marrow, we definately don't want to give them unhealthy marrow ... they have enough of a fight already.
Same thing with bood.

Oh no, that is too bad. A friend of mine has had leukemia, and I have been on the bone marrow potential donor list for years.
Sorry to hear that I will have to take my name off that list!
Sarah, thanks for the story about the BMB -- incredible that those were PCR positive!!
This helps explain why babesia and lyme are so hard to wipe out if not caught early....

This stinks. I just signed up to be a bone marrow donor before I got Lyme. (I am/was also an organ donor) thats too bad I was hoping to help someone some day.
