Hello,
I am new here. I was wondering if anyone else was having bad herxes from Enula?

I started about 8 weeks ago. The first day, I got a migraine headache, so I went slow. 15 drops 2X a day. Slowly added a drop or two a day.
Finally got up to 25 to 27 drops.

The herx became so severe. I had bone pain in my entire body. Bones I didn't know I had. Little bones in my feet and my hand hurt terribly.

Bones all over my body hurt and muscles too. I became extremely weepy. The pain was intolerable.

I also felt feverish, but didn't have a clinical fever.

I got concerned that maybe I had been having a reaction to Levaquin, so I stopped that. I also dropped down on the Enula to 20 drops. 5 days later still having a herx, but not nearly as bad.

Finally had to drop back to 15 drops. No Levaquin still. I did notice though that about a half hour after Enula, I feel bone pain.

Do not think it was Levaquin.

I also feel like I have been poisoned and toxic.

Finally when I came out of my excrutiating pain, I noticed my back was not as stiff. My hearing was better. (Even little bones in my ears hurt)

Anyone else having this dramatic response to Enula?

I became so ill, that I really thought I needed to see neurologist or someone to see if I had invasive yeast. My blood pressure is usually low, but last time my doctor checked, it was lower than usual. 90/60

Thanks.

Welcome!

Wow, no I didn't have that kind of dramatic response to Enula but I had been on babs/Lyme treatment for a long time when I started it. I have had a dramatic response in that I've passed many large intestinal parasites from it!

If you felt better afterward, it sounds like a herx.

Does your doctor know you stopped Levaquin? I wouldn't stop or start meds without your doctor's knowledge. [Smile] Levaquin caused a heck of a herx for me for the first six weeks. Then I saw steady improvement from it. It's a great drug.

I've had malarone and mepron. I have a mild form of Babesia. No sweats. Just occasionally.

I've never had a herx this dramatic. My doc knew I was backing down on meds. It has been a week off Levaquin.

I wanted to make sure I wasn't flossed from the Levaquin, but it seems the enula is what is giving me the most problems.

My doc says people are seeing some improvement from enula, but I think I am wondering why I am having such a dramatic response to it vs. other people?

I've been on Levaquin and Minocycline going on 3 months now. I think. I forget. It helped me feel better, no dramtic herxes, but then added Enula and kapow!

I forgot to add that I also get twitching from the enula. This stuff seems to penetrate the nervous system quickly for me.

Well, I'd say the Enula is reaching something, not necessarily babesia, that your other meds haven't reached.

I have been on various meds for 18 months and recently started Zith. Even though I was on Biaxin for 9 months and hadn't been having to bad of herxes lately, the Zith is really getting something new and causing a lot of pain.

My PA's response was to stick with it and to take a full dose. She said that if I took a lower dose that it encouraged the bacteria to become resistant.

So, I don't know if that applies to herbs, but in my opinion, if when you're off it you can see progress, hit it hard! [Smile]
