I am at a cross roads and feeling very down. I have done various abx (including 6 months of IV abx) for 2 years with no lasting improvement. The last abx I took was levaquin which over the course of 7 weeks on the drug I eventually had a toxic reaction to and it has taken me 6 months to recover from (tendonitis and a bunch of cns issues like insomnia, neuropathies, ear ringing, etc.). I was floxed. I think the levaquin may have done enough damage to my system that I can't take further abx, though I'm willing to try. I could still try Bicillin and maybe zithro but ear ringing has been such an issue for me that I'm not sure I'll be able to tolerate either. I just don't know what to do next. I feel like I can't go on any longer....do people with neuro lyme ever get better without abx or will I just get worse?

Hey Scottie,
Sorry that you are in this position. May I ask what your main sx are?
How do the other abx affect you? There are lots of combos to try......don't lose hope. IM Bicillin works great for some, it just is a SLOW worker.
What about alternatives in the mix?

I know how you feel. Have had severe and frequent headaches and nerve pain in the head and upper tooth since being diagnosed with Lyme three years ago. Have been on many courses of abx, but not intravenous bc am not impressed with the outcome compared with the side effects.
Have you read "The Top Ten Lyme Disease Treatments" by Royser? At this point you may want to look into a rife machine. At first I thought it was nonsense, but there are thousands of testimonials in favor of it online and this author thinks it is one of the best treatments. I'm thinking of buying one myself but want to do more research first.

Scottie,
Have you tried treating any of the co-infections? I've been on abx and would improve then relapse, improve then relapse, and then all over again.
after treating Borrelia for almost a year, we added treatment for Bartonella. I started feeling pretty good then suddenly started relapsing again. Then we started treating Babesia. Now I'm getting better again and I think I'm starting to feel the best ever.
I have to add that I never tested positive for either Bart or babs.

Hi Scotty and Pauline,
My ears ring badly - can get buzzing so much it hurts (3rd eyebrow growing above my nose - Oh Yes - those are frown lines from pain).
I started using a Rife machine - GB 4000 - 10 days ago. Have had 5 good days.
Today's not great, but Candida really beats me up so bad sometimes I waddle when I walk - painful stuff. I've used the Rife for it also.
Ringing ears, shakes, numbness, tingling, and lots more make up my Neuro symptoms.
If you lived in Arizona, I'd be happy to let you try it out.
