Is there a value to repeat tests??? of course not... I know it will show positive I've had about three WB done and you know why???? Try WORKERS COMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so when you get bit at work and have Chronic Lyme and Bart at the age of 23, yea they send you for multiple ones.... they are stupid...... and no kidding i have lyme ive been dealing with it for two years.... Im not a newbie on this disease, I do my research..... So whats value to me????? NOTHIN' I aint payin for it so they could send me a hundred times and its shows in black and white.... hey buddy check VALUE in the dictionary.......peace.

I wasn't trying to insult you or be dismissive. Hopefully you didn't take it that way. Your answer makes complete sense. I guess that's the reality of medicine these days...

So, I guess if a single test ever comes back negative, they will declare you "cured" regardless of persisting symptoms, claim "post lyme syndrome" AGAIN, and ship you out? I hope that doesn't happen. I guess, in that respect, having continued positive results (until you feel better) is the best-case scenario.

From Dr C's explanation:

"Band 39: Unknown what this antigen is, but based on research at the National Institute of Health (NIH), other Borrelia (such as Borrelia recurrentis that causes relapsing fever), do not even have the genetics to code for the 39 kDa antigen, much less produce it. It is the most specific antibody for borreliosis of all."

I haven't heard of that one for Bart & Lyme?



I just looked up Tygacil - Tigecycline.

It sounds interesting. I wonder why I haven't really heard of it being used. Please let us know how you do with it.

from what i've read somewhere, the 31 band isn't taken too 'seriously' i guess you can say

because that's the band used to make the lyme vaccine.

so, cdc doesn't care if you're positive or negative.

I suppose because for all they're concerned, you had the vaccine and that's why you came out + for 31kDa.
