Going through what I call inflamed brain and eye pain. Sure hope it lets up soon.
This is the worse of all the symptoms for me.

Hope you feel better soon.
Hubby has been there before and I know that this is no fun.

Kam, I've had that for almost nine months straight. It got better for a little while when I was on steroids (before I knew about Lyme) and when I first started Mino I had a couple of better days.
My eyes hurt mostly when I move them, but sometimes I get strong pain in them while looking forward. I also see flashing lights in my peripheral vision, and have mild double vision.
My concentration is lousy and I have other cog problems. It's stressful, I worry about permanent damage.
I hope it passes soon for us both!

I have eye pain with a dull headache all the time lately. Feels like my eyeballs are going to pop out of my head. It hurts to move them. They hurt more when I get tired.
I also have pain at the base of my skull. I was told the pain at the base of the skull is caused by brain swelling and that everyone with LD has brain swelling. Also told that the brain swelling can last a couple of years after you are over the Lyme.

I have written about this several times over the years here, but still, not many use it. I think that may be because many docs are unfamiliar with this off label usage.
Methazolamide or Neptazane is a wonderful drug for just this purpose.
It is actually a med used for glaucoma that reduces the swelling and pressure inside the cranium.
NOTHING ever helped my headaches and eye pain until I started with this. Ask your docs and give it a try.
My best, Melanie

I took acetazolamide(sp). Don't know if this is a similar drug to the ones you are mentioning here. It is for brain swelling and also used for glaucoma. Made me dehydrate and that led to even more fatigue than I already had. My head never stopped hurting.

Cycline meds can increase your intracranial pressure.
