In addition to the good things the advent of electricity has
contributed to the healing arts, there are issues found negative
by some. For most of human existence/healing no one stayed up
much past sunset. Most healing modalities discourage staying
up late. We all, I think, must try to find our own balance therein.
(It is, however, difficult - per my school of wellness - to
maximize the effectiveness of most treatment protocols for
those staying up on chat all night.)
Lou, I don't know your current tx protocol, so it's hard for me to
tell what might be chemically affecting your sleep. Have you
tried meditation? You might experiment with going to bed in a
completely darkened room at a little past sunset. Try to readjust
your rhythms to the sun cycle. It may take a few weeks. You
should find yourself waking at 4:00 or 5:00 am anyway. In this
case it will be normal. Next thing is get a cow to milk! LOL!
