Has anyone used bifenthrin to treat their yard?

It is in one of the Ortho products and I've read in a couple of places it's good.

Anyone like it or have other sites for me to read and consider? Thanks!

These are tubes filled with cotton treated with Permethrin. I have not personally used them, as I have a postage stamp backyard, but I am thinking of it since deer do munch the garden and we have a small woods where other small animals live.

If you are worried about Permethrin, it is actually very safe. I did some research on it before spraying my son's camping gear/clothes for Scouts with it.

Hope this helps.

Look up - diatomaceous earth - on google.

I don't have a yard but I have researched this. Seems to be a good choice.

Hi Whome,
I just used this product on my lawn thanks to Tickbattler who posted this website a few weeks ago. The company is very helpful and told me that Talstar (bifintrin) and Dragnet (permethrin) were equally as effective..just different chemicals.

Thanks tickbattler...I feel much safer now! [Smile]

I would use Tempo. It is derived from geraniums and is so safe its labeled for INSIDE restaurants and food processing places

It had NO chemical smell,,it smells like you are spraying water!!

MAYBE planting a surrounding barrier of geranium flowers would deter ticks from yards,it would look pretty, sometimes!!

the dimacious earth is also a great choice. I have never used it but people who do organic farming do!!!

A four poster deer feeder MAY be another option, also keeping mice out of garages, sheds and homes(in reverse order!!)
