I keep reading over posts and signatures and I seem to see the same or VERY close to same results as far as bands that show up.

What percentage of us (i am included ) have these numbers show up as positive.

Do you think we have symptoms in common too or anything else.? Or is there really no connections besides we all have Lyme Disease

The numbers are

23-25
31
34
39
41
58

All these for IGM and Some on IGG.
I myself do not feel that it matters so much but I figured someone would ask me..

58 has come and gone
23-25 left once and came back
and 41 does not budge

: )

I don't have the 23-25-58. I have read those

patients have more arthritic symptoms than those

that don't, the other set have more neuro symptoms.

Is that what you were getting at?

Mine are:
IGM
23-25 +
31 +++
34 +
39 IND
41 ++
58 +++
So I have all of yours and the only difference in mine is that I also have
18+, 30+,66+ and 83-93 IND

As for IGG we are different.. I have IGG: 31+,39IND,41+

And I agree Pine lady...I have lots of arthritic symptoms too but my main issue is CNS/NEURO

Hmmmm....I am:

23-25++
39 ++
41 ++

I'd say that my symptoms are fairly evenly divided between arthritis/joint symptoms and neuro. My husband would say that it is 100% neuro seeing as I "forget" everything!!

I'm mostly neuro (and other things, like GI tract etc) but am not arthritic.

IgG
31 IND
34 IND
39 ++
41+++
45+

IgM
58+

31+++
34+
39+
41+
58+
66+
83-93+

The only starred band I do not have is 23-25. these are IgM

I had bad arthritis at beginning 5 surgeries on joints before dx.

Osteoarthritis still but I was still able to run and be very active before I went severely CNS/neuro 2 years ago.

Neuro involvement makes it impossible to function anywhere near normal.

My IgG
39+
41IND

How odd Feelfit, I have a much stronger IgG reaction and you have much stronger IgM! You're one of the only few here I have no doubt has Lyme based on your results. I can't believe any idiot said it may be a false positive. [bonk]

I have intolerable arthritis, and tolerable nuero symptoms.

IgM
18+
30++
31IND
39+
41IND

IgG is all flat negative

The second time I took the test (3 months later), I was flat negative for every single band on both IgM and IgG. But I have weak immune system.

I had a doctor last year who ran a blood tests that looks for the total amount of IgM antibodies in your blood serum. Normal is 60-263. My count was 0 (as in zero).

So I don't know how I am suppposed to come up positive on any IgM western blot for any disease ifI don't have IgM antibodies

IgM:

23-25. IND
31. IND
39. IND
41. +

IgG:

31. IND
34. IND
41. IND

Bad arthritic pain in ankles, knees, back. Mild CNS/neuro symptoms

Interesting....

So people are talking about Arthritic compared to Neuro.

What about Pain and Fatigue?

I got to go back and look.. at the WB Descriptions but ... I think these are all the stared bands for CDC criteria Right??

I'll repeat my results before I answer the question...

IgG
31 IND
34 IND
39 ++
41+++
45+

IgM
58+

So mostly severe neurological symptoms, no arthritis. I have debilitating fatigue, but not a whole lot of pain compared to others. I have costochondritis pain, and pain from neuropathy which is obviously neurological. I also have severe gastrointestinal issues, among other things.

I think before we draw too many conclusions we need

to remember just how bad the test is. My daughter

has 58 yet I did not show it. We live among the

same ticks, so it is possible we have bands that

are not showing?

CHuck G

What database are you talking about?

And you said None have this exact combo?

Could you explain? I am confused.

I have mainly neuro symptoms with occasional but very tolerable arthritic pain.

IgM
18 +
31++
34IND
39IND
41++
58+

IgG
31+
41IND

I think our IgM positives could mean it's gone to our nervous system and neurologically affected us if we've been undiagnosed forever...

Thanks Seek.

Though I looked around at all the links on the left and the stickies and wherever I could..
Where is this "master database"??

THanks

The only things I can add here are:

1) two LLMDs told me west coast Lyme seems more neuro, with less pain, esp. joint
2) Band 41 will likely remain forever (and its no big deal)

I started as neuro and then it went into the muscles and joints. I have had IND show up on band 23 in the past and a positive 66 that now seems to have gone.

IGM
31+
39 IND
41 ++

IGG
31 +
34 IND
39 IND
41+
58+

I had the confirm done on bands 30/31

Testing at both IgeneX and MDL these bands have shown up at one or both labs.

Antigenic variability and immune system suppression make it pretty hard to pin down which bands are dominant for an individual because one day one will show up and the next time it will be something else.

I also think that which symptoms are manifested will depend on length of infection, strain, co-infections, genetics etc. etc... Lots of variables.

There are genetic markers that are very much thought to be tied to lyme arthritis.

Are you saying there are 50 people you have found on this site to be Igenex positive?

?
