So... I was on x b's for about 10 weeks after I could barely walk... the doxy worked after 10 weeks...starting running again and getting back in shape- was good for about 2 months...now I feel spasms throughout my body.... twitching...knee pain.... random sciatica and other symptoms which I know are lyme residuals...
I'm scared... what can I do at this point to help myself? I feel like I'm denying that it's starting to happen again...
meh...help!

Have you got an LLMD? If so, call.

If not, post in "Seeking a Doctor" and find one ASAP.

Sorry to hear of the bumpy road. I hope you can get back with your LLMD and get on the right track. This will get better.

you might get the book below as it details what helped get over bumps. The author is doing rather well these days:

Some libraries carry this book. Here's the Amazon link:

This details what an entire family went through. Having this knowledge of their journey will help others to get better, faster treatment.

CONTROVERSY CONTINUES TO FUEL THE "LYME WAR" - 2007

" . . .To treat Lyme disease for a comparable number of life cycles, treatment would need to last 30 weeks. . . ."

==========

However, for some treatment can takes a few years. So much depends on how many infections are present, the shape of the liver and adrenals, etc. The strain of lyme, etc. also matters.

==========

Aerobic exercise may have come too soon. If there is still infection, aerobics can damage the heart. Mitochondrial damage, too, is frequent with lyme and exercise has to be approached carefully.

From Dr. Bruno's "Fainting and Fatigue" in the Spring 1996 CFIDS Chronicle

Post-polio expert Dr. Richard Bruno points out that physical over-activity is the biggest cause of post-polio symptoms. [3]

Excerpt:

``when mice infected with Coxsackie B3 were forced to swim in a warm pool, the virulence of the virus was drastically augmented.

In fact, viral replication was augmented 530 times. This did horrendous things to the animals' hearts. We all know that to play squash with the flu can lead to heart attacks.

Much the same danger can be courted by undertaking hard exercise with M.E. (CFS).'' - End quote.

I hope you can go back to your LLMD and get back on track. Were you assessed for coinfections?

Do you have good liver support? Adrenal support? Magnesium?

Good luck.

Sounds like you were on the right track but may not have hit all the lyme.

Go see your LLMD and get back on tx if deemed appropriate.

It is not uncommon to relapse like that after a few months of feeling well off of abx.'s. I had the same experience a few years ago.

Stop tx., felt great, back to life and training and racing again and then BOOM - I was hit hard.

Best bet to see your LLMD and let her/him assess the situation. TG
