I have been on bicillin for nearly 2 years. Herxed a lot in the beginning. then not as much. Had some fairly good months ............ now I am slipping again.
Anyone else experience this pattern?
I have been on it with mino and now with azith.
i eat right .......... better than most. exercise. lead a healthy lifestyle. What now?

Azith over the course of time made me feel tired and not well. Maybe it is not that you are slipping with the bicillin, but that the zith is making you feel worse?
Although I did not feel great while taking it, zith did help greatly with my symptoms, so I am not recommending that you think about stopping it and I am glad that I stuck with it for months.
Just that the slipping feeling might be caused by the zith reaching some bug that the bicillin does not? One possibility, anyway.

dose is 1.2mu one in each side seekly. So two a week on the same day.
how much did you do?

How about upping your dose to 4/week and adding in a cyst buster? Sounds like you need to up it a big notch.

Hey Robi,
You might try spacing it out and use 1.2 MU Bicillin LA 3-4x week instead of the 2.4. Or you could add more of another antibiotic. Whats the zithro dose?

I did great with Bicillin for many many months...need to vary the dose: 2-3 to maintain, 4-5 during a Herx, flagyl to prevent cyst forms and biaxin or zithro for intracellular action.

I'd add flagyl or tinni to the mix, pal. Or switch to IM Rocephin. Very painful, said to be more so than the Bicillin IMs, but those lidocaine patches... You know where you can get the Rx; I have one from her in fact sitting in my back pocket.

I think I will try the 3 shots per week. I already am on Tindamx (tinadazole) one week a month. Also, on zith(dose of 500mg 1 x day) and adding mino (100mg x 2 a day).
Thanks for all the suggestions. IM rocephin .......... no thnks ... I am looking to reduce pain not increase it.
Further comments , ideas sugestions are , of course, welcome.
Thanks to all who responded.

robi~ I had a significant herx on the IM bicillin (it put me in the ER with extended and recurrent tachycardia among other things). But, in spite of the fact that I knew it was killing stuff off, I did not see huge improvements on it.
I later found out that I am also battling various viruses (HHV-6, EBV, coxsackie B) and Cpn. SO...you are on a lot of antibiotics. If you are not making headway, or are going backwards, consider getting tested for viruses. Enteroviruses should be tested for at ARUP lab: http://www.enterovirusfoundation.org/chronicinfections.shtml
