Hi,
I am just curious to know how long it took from the start of symptoms until you were diagnosed and how long you have been in treatment for.

For me Symptoms started in December and diagnosed in June so 6 months.. started ABX 10 days ago.

Started showing symptoms in the 1970's. No one believed me. Was disabled three times by fatigue. Had fibromyalgia at times but not constant. Used diet, exercise, sunshine, etc. also got amalgams out and chelated. Was in remission for 12 years.

7 years ago got bitten again. Became completely disabled this time. It took 3 years for ME to figure out what it was as the doctors again didn't believe me, I got a Somatization Disorder diagnosis.

After 3 years of treatment, I am well today and next month will have been in remission for one year.

I went years and years. Some of my symptoms began in the 1970's.

It has been a life-long struggle.

I was diagnosed in April, 2009. I see progress with my treatment but the end is still a long ways off.

I was bitten by the tick the end of May 2006. Got the rash and was very sick - at the doctors office in June. Was told nothing was wrong. Over and over told ticks do not carry lyme in Montana. Even though I was not asking about lyme, my symptoms were classic.

So I diagnosed myself the end of Jan 2008 while researching chronic fatigue online.

Feb 2009 I was diagnosed with bartonella by a LLMD.

Been in treatment all that time. I am doing very well. . . knock on wood.

11 years from bite to fully disabled. Imbedded tick in scalp at age 5. Symptoms began at age 7 and slowly progessed for the next 8 years.

In the right kind of treatment for 4 months, starting to show some signs of improvement.
