So, the past couple of days I've noticed my left hand tingles a bit. Not bad. On a scale of 1 to 10 its a 2-3. But it is there.

Is this from lyme bart, babs, or meds? Feel pretty good otherwise.

Left hand tingling was my 1st symptom that sent me to the doc.

As far as I know, it is a symptom of Lyme but I guess they all get mixed up and it can be everything.

Neuropathy can also be a side effect of Flagyl, which I know you are on.

It's so frustrating not knowing what is from what

I had this symptom as well. The first time, I got scared and went to my local doctor as I had facial tingling as well.

All tests were normal. I believe this was the lyme/bartonella.

All the best!

When our daughter was first treating with Zith, and for months after, when not on any treatment,

She would mention here and there about her hands, feet feeling like pins and needles, like they fell asleep.

She did not improve after 8 weeks of antibiotics, then the pins and needles , etc symptoms started. This was after her first and supposed complete treatment.

Started treatment with Rifampin and Mino last May, 2009, and does not seem to have this anymore.

I think for her it was Bart related.

Hope you feel better soon.

I also have hand tingling, usually my ring and pinkie fingers mostly. Who knows which one of these evil diseases causes it!!??!

Don't forget about (carpal tunnel syndrome). I've had carpal tunnel syndrome for more than 30 years and choose not to have the orperations.

I can tell you this, since having lyme (3 YEARS +) MY carpal tunnel IS much WORSE!!!

Just wanted to make sure you keep an open mind for different reasons you have the pins/needles/tinging...etc

Steve, your carpal tunnel is worse? Has it gotten any better with treatment?

My wrist hurts and my fingers tingle too, especially when I use the computer. I'm hoping it will get better with treatment.

Its not 24/24 but I do get the tinging, falling a sleep, etc everyday...

Ditto for me to what wealdsteve said- excellent description. I only get in now and then, but when it comes, it stays for a good while. Blech. It's an annoying symptom.

Have you thought about methyl B-12 shots (helps CNS)?

Bcb - tingling can also be from Flagyl.

Thanks all. I do know Flagyl can cause peripheral neruopathy. But I only pulse it 3 days every 2 weeks, and supposedly this short pulse isn't supposed to cause this side effect.

I used to have this too and after going gluten free it totally went away. I have Celiac too though, so I;m not sure the tingling would be enough for me to go gluten free- lol, but I guess who knows it may actually be doing damage, i mean it cant be a good sign. Maybe try out going GF-- also if youre on Flagyl make SURE to tell your DR. It can cause permanent damage if its from the Flagyl

Google nitroimidazole neurotoxicity. If I got any new neuro symptoms on flagyl or tini, i'd go off right away.

Carpel Tunnel is very specif fingers. Ring and pinky which I also have is NOT carpel tunnell. It was my first symptom too and if flares with mino and doxy. It is either Bart or lyme but I still cant be sure.

Ring and Pinky is called cubital tunnel sydrome= pinched or compressed ulnar nerve at elbow.

NMN I am currently taking levoquin, artemisinin, doxy and septra.
For herbs: licorice, eleuthero,smilax.
I am improving with this combination, are you
having improvement too?

My ring and pinky used to tingle too --- one of my first symptoms. I now get pain in my wrist and nerve pain up my arm.

Whitney -- Wow, that's great that GF helped your symptoms.

I've been told its lyme or bart too.

That looks like a good combo Beach. I am happy its working for you. Art is great stuff. Licorice, ginseng ad smilax is a nice little mixture. I have licorice tincture in the making and I hope to start it in a few weeks.

I am doing much better on high doses of rifampin for bart. I am alternating between rifampin and levaquin at the moment.

Thanks for the info. These diseases can inflame any nerves really. May be due to direct infection or blebs. I think its direct infection in my case as its always the same places.
