Six months is not long in the Lyme treatment world, especially if you are progressed enough to get an ALS diagnosis. At six months, I was still bedridden.

Are you seeing a good LLMD?

Sorry to say, these are all very common symptoms of neurolyme and other tick-borne infections.

Both ALS and MS are just names for a set of symptoms. Very often, ALS and MS have turned out to be undiagnosed, untreated or under-treated tick-borne infections (or Cpn).

Do you have a good ILADS-educated LLMD? If so, I would have thought the LLMD would have explained the extent of symptoms and the complexity of treatment - and the time-line. For many with advance neurolyme, it's about a 3 year span before they even begin to feel better.

Did your LLMD not explain that?

Have you also been assessed for other chronic stealth infections such as Chlamydia pneumonia ( www.cpnhelp.org), HHV-6, etc?

Are you addressing the mycoplasma p. adequately?

I don't want to be a downer here, but it is important to know that, yes, indeed - this can be very common. Still -- there is hope. MANY have seen good remissions of long-standing nature.

You may consider a different LLMD - but extreme patience will still be needed. Hold on.

I agree with Keebler. You need to be seeing a very good LLMD. Those are all Lyme symptoms. I went from bedridden to completely healthy, but at six months was still bedridden. It took three years of treatment to get well. And that was short for someone as sick as I was.

What is your liver support? What are your antioxidants?

How much magnesium are you getting a day?

How much fish oil?

How have you addressed heavy metals?

Add to Keebler's list - parasites.

A pretty common opinion around here!

I do hope you have a really good LLMD.

Funny, I was talking a shower and realized I'd forgotten about parasites. I though Gael might have added but glad to see that SixGoofyKids caught the omission.

Gael has lots about the importance of treating parasites (I think its glm1111 if you want to search her posts).

And GiGi, too, discuss parasites but more so heavy metal detox.

Marnie's threads are good, too. She often discusses how minerals and vitamins work together. The important thing Marnie has taught me is that magnesium needs both D3 and B-6 to work.

Between the three of them, they offer keys that are essential.
